Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Scott Linehan is the leading candidate to land the St. Louis Rams job after an impressive interview this week, ESPN reported. The 42-year-old assistant also spent time as the Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator.

The Rams reportedly had hoped to sign a coach with a defensive background, but that fell through when Washington defensive coordinator Gregg Williams re-signed and they were rebuffed by Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Monte Kiffen.
St. Louis officials interviewed Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Fassell on Thursday, while Chargers offensive coordinator also is reportedly one of the finalists, ESPN reported.

They also have interviewed Giants defensive coordinator Tim Lewis and Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

However, the Rams are not expected to make the hiring anytime soon.

The Oakland Raiders, meanwhile have targeted Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Al Saunders as the favorite to replace Norv Turner, ESPN reported.

Iam not really that bothered who the St Louis rams have as there head coach but being a Raiders fan there is no way that i want Al Saunders to be the new Oakland head coach. What the hell is up with the team going out and hiring a decent coach like Jim Fassel or Steve Mariuchi
