Impact opens with footage of the Against All Odds pay-per-view and we then see Karen
Angle getting out of a limousine wearing a wedding gown along with her daughter,
Kyra, and Jeremy Borash. Karen tells Borash that tonight will be the most romantic
thing Kurt has ever done for her as Eric Young runs into the picture saying that he
has to face Rellik, a real-life monster, tonight. Kyra Angle says there is no such
thing as monsters as all three of them leave Young standing in the parking lot.

The Impact intro hits and we are welcomed to tonight’s show that will feature
Awesome Kong against ODB in a street fight and Abyss vs. Scott Steiner, plus Kurt &
Karen Angle will renew their wedding vows.

Jim Cornette is in the ring to hopefully sign Samoa Joe to a contract for the third
week in a row. He says that tonight there will be no interruptions as Matt Morgan
has been banned from the ring, Kurt Angle is busy getting ready for his vows, and
there is no table in sight. Samoa Joe comes out to the ring and Cornette hands him
a pen and allows Joe to use his back as a desk, however, before he is able to sign,
Christian Cage’s music hits as he comes out to the ring.

Cage says that he knows he was doing his job by keeping AJ Styles out of the ring
and beating him out of the building, but that left the door open for Tomko to come
in and turn his back on Cage. Cage says he doesn’t blame him but wants him to help
him make it right by being his partner tonight against Styles & Tomko and take them
out. Joe reminds Cage that his title hunt is over as he is the next in line before
agreeing to tag up with him tonight.

Cage and Joe shake hands as Cornette still has an unsigned contract in his hands.
Cornette pushes Joe to sign it but Joe refuses and says that tonight he has some
personal business to take care of and then he may take care of his TNA business.

Crystal is backstage with Tomko to get a reaction about the Christian Cage
situation. Tomko compares Cage to a monkey on his back that told him that Tomko
needed him to become a star. He said he doesn’t need Cage anymore and says that he
plans on having a talk with Angle later on before cutting off the interview.

After a commercial break, Crystal is with AJ Styles and asks about the challenge
that Cage & Joe sent out. Styles says he didn’t agree to the match so it won’t
happen but Crystal interrupts and says that Cornette already booked it. Angle tells
him to be there on time to be the best man before leaving. This upsets Styles who
shouts out that Angle is marrying his woman.

Match 1: Team 3D vs. Curry Man & Shark Boy
Prior to the match, Earl Hebner runs to the ring with a scale in his hands and tells
Team 3D that they have to weigh less than 275 each to participate in the match
tonight. Brother Devon is given the okay, while Brother Ray is too heavy. Brother
Ray begins to remove pieces of his apparel to see if he can make weight until Hebner
tells him to please stop as it would be impossible to make weight. Hebner then
makes it a handicap match.

Even with a two-on-one match, Devon is able to dominate Shark Boy in the opening
moments of the match. Devon finally misses with a flying head butt, which gives
Shark Boy and opening to tag in Curry Man. Curry Man works over Devon briefly while
doing some dance moves. Johnny Devine tries to get involved but he gets a stunner
from Shark Boy instead. With the referee distracted by Shark Boy and Devine,
Brother Ray breaks the scale over Curry Man’s head, which gives Devon an opening to
make the pin fall.

Crystal catches up with Booker T in the parking lot. Booker is waiting outside for
Robert Roode and says he is going to snap his neck if he shows up.

A video package promoting Rellik is aired. In it, Rellik talks about what he is
going to do to Eric Young in their match tonight, which includes drilling a hole in
his head and sucking out his brains and ripping out his heart and eating it. This
would mean so much more if Rellik was a real monster instead of a jobber.

We are then treated to some highlights from the Barbed Wire Massacre match from
Against All Odds, which leads us to our next match.

Match 2: Scott Steiner vs. Abyss
Scott Steiner is accompanied to the ring by one of his “freaks,” as Abyss just comes
out with his freaky self. Abyss slowly walks to the ring but refuses to enter.
Abyss walks up the ramp and turns his back to the camera before removing his mask
and walking back through the tunnel and we are brought to a commercial.

Mike Tenay and Don West are dumbfounded as to what just happened with Abyss as Scott
Steiner gets on the microphone and talks about his title shots he won at Against All
Odds and introduces his favorite freak, Rocka Khan. Steiner then lays out a
challenge to anyone to come out and face him and it is answered by Petey Williams.

Match 2: Scott Steiner vs. Petey Williams
Williams charges to the ring and quickly takes Steiner down to the mat. Williams
lands a cross body block from the top rope to score a one count before Steiner
powers out. Steiner is finally able to get into the match by slamming Williams down
with a powerbomb and continues with some belly-to-belly suplexes. Williams fights
back and takes Steiner down with a hurricanrana but Steiner is able to block an
attempt at a Canadian Destroyer. Williams heads to the top rope, but Rocka Khan is
there and pulls his foot and Steiner follows with a fallaway slam from the top rope
to pick up the pin fall.

After the match, Steiner pulls Williams up to his feet and pats him on the back
before leaving the ring.

Crystal is backstage with Kurt Angle and Tomko. Angle tells Tomko that his is
grateful for his actions at Against All Odds. Tomko says that he sees Cage teaming
with Joe who is with Nash and says that there is strength in numbers and says that
he will join the Angle Alliance as long as he won’t turn into Angle’s bitch. Angle
agrees to the term and Tomko is made into a member of the group. Mike Tenay then
gets word that Cage has been laid out in the back as the camera shows Cage laid out
in the locker room.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Karen Angle when Eric Young busts in and talks to
Borash about what Rellik said earlier. Angle screams at Young for talking to her
“maid of honor” on her wedding day and says that she will do worse to him than
Rellik will if he doesn’t leave now.

Samoa Joe comes out with a microphone and says that since Cage is out he calls out
Kevin Nash to be his partner.

Match 3: AJ Styles & Tomko vs. Samoa Joe & Kevin Nash
Joe works over Styles with knees, kicks and chops in the opening minutes before
dumping him over the top rope and onto Tomko on the floor as we head into a
commercial. We return to the match to see Tomko working over Joe as the match
continues. The tag team champs then isolate Joe in their corner and use quick tags
to soften him up more.

Joe begins to fight back and finally makes a tag to Nash, but the referee was tied
up with Styles and didn’t see it. That doesn’t stop Nash, who picks up Hebner and
puts him out of his way and begins pounding on both Styles & Tomko. With the
referee tied up with Nash, Angle comes out and clocks Joe which sends him into
Tomko, who slams him down and picks up the victory.

After a commercial break, Crystal is standing by with Joe & Nash. Joe says the
Angle Alliance just signed a declaration of war and says that he will destroy the
Angle Alliance so he is able to get Angle in the ring one-on-one. Joe then
challenges the three of them in a match at Destination X with Kevin Nash and
Christian Cage on his side.

Match 4: Rellik vs. Eric Young
Rellik nearly knocks Young’s head off with a big boot to get this match going. That
isn’t enough to keep Young down, though, as he faces his fears with big haymakers
and a clothesline to take Rellik down. Rellik crawls to his corner and puts on his
outer mask, which once again scares Young and turns him inside out with a
devastating clothesline for the pin fall.

NASCAR’s Hermie Sadler is backstage with the MMG’s and the LAX, along with a couple
of other NASCAR drivers. The drivers will be in opposite corners later on as Reed
Sorenson is with the MMG’s and Juan Pablo Montoya is with the LAX.

Jimmy Spenser joins the broadcast team ringside for the special three-way X Division
contest.

Jimmy Rave vs. Chris Sabin vs. Homicide
Sabin and Homicide go at with lightning quick moves until Rave is there and slams
Sabin’s back on the ring apron. Homicide then takes out Rave with a dive through
the ropes. Sabin and Homicide once again go at it in the ring until Rave jumps in
the middle. Rave then distracts the ref so Hoyt can use a chair on Homicide, but
Hernandez is there to stop that from happening. Juan Pablo Montoya then uses said
chair and clocks Hoyt in the head with it. The distraction is enough to catch
Rave’s attention, which allows Homicide to roll him up for the pin fall.

A video package highlighting Rhino’s time in TNA is aired. It says that he has
faced his past demons and has returned to avenge his past and rewrite his future.
Rhino then comes out to the ring and says that he screwed up by drinking and
challenges James Storm to a match at Destination X in a Elevation X match.

A video package on Awesome Kong’s dominance in the Women’s division is aired. This
leads us to Crystal who is standing by with ODB. ODB says that at Against All Odds
she may have lost, but she found out that she can take Kong and she is going to
prove that tonight. Gail Kim comes out and says that she has her back tonight to
help out if Raisha Saed tries to interfere.

Match 6: ODB vs. Awesome Kong (Knockout Non-title Street Fight)
ODB charges at Awesome Kong on the ramp to get this street fight started, but just
gets thrown around. Kong tries for a chair shot, but hits the ring post instead of
ODB. The fight spills into the crowd and we head to a commercial break.

We return to see that the fight has finally made it to the ring and Raisha Saed is
already making her presence known by tripping up ODB. Gail Kim comes out and gives
her a verbal warning but Kong comes out and tosses Kim into the guard railing. Kong
takes ODB down with a hard clothesline in the ring as Kim hops on the apron and
distracts Kong long enough for ODB to recover as the both begin to trade blows on
the champion. Kim is able to hold Kong on the ropes but Kong moves and ODB
inadvertently nails Kim, which sends her down to the floor. Kong then lands the
Impact Buster on ODB for the pin fall.

After the match ODB and Gail Kim get in a shoving match. Angelina Love and Velvet
Sky come out to break it up.

Booker T is still waiting for Roode in the parking lot as Payton Banks shows up to
apologize for Sunday night and tell him that Roode isn’t going to show up tonight.
Booker tells her to tell him to show up next week or else Booker will search the
whole island of Manhattan for him and he won’t be responsible for what he does.
Cornette comes out and says he is giving the opportunity for Booker to face Roode
once again at Destination X and tells him that he will face Kurt Angle next week to
take his frustrations out on him instead.

We return to the Impact Zone where the ropes have been removed. A minister is in
the ring and introduces Kurt Angle and his best man, AJ Styles, who isn’t wearing a
tie and doesn’t have his shirt tucked in. Karen Angle and the maid of honor, Jeremy
Borash, is then introduced. The Angle’s exchange their “I do’s,” however, Samoa Joe
& Kevin Nash interrupt their ceremony and objects their marriage. Joe says that
they were going to wait in the parking lot with baseball bats, but they didn’t want
Kurt to make the same mistake twice with the same skank.

They head to the ring and Joe sends Styles flying into Karen and knocks down the
minister in the process. Both Nash & Joe then attack Angle on the floor and strip
him of his tuxedo as the minister, without his glass, pronounce Styles and Karen
Angle as man and wife. Styles lays one on Angle’s wife as he looks on in disbelief
and Impact comes to a close.

Starman’s Thoughts
Not a great show tonight to follow up a pay-per-view with. Tonight’s matches really
didn’t do much for me as they seemed to be all filler and no substance.
Furthermore, weddings have been played out far too much in wrestling and they really
need to stop.

As for the rest, it could be that everyone was taking a rest after Against All Odds,
but most everyone seemed to be off a step or two. I heard at least three verbal
slip ups, including Joe mentioning that Against All Odds happened last night (which
it did when this was taped, but everyone else referred to it as happening four days
ago).
