Jeremy Borash is standing outside of Jim Cornette’s office and runs downs the matches that will take place tonight as you can hear Cornette yelling in his office. Cornette comes out and says that Matt Morgan made a decision in his absence earlier in the day to allow Team Tomko to have a fifth person on their Lethal Lockdown. Cornette doesn’t like it but Morgan says that someone needed to make a decision and he was there to do it.

The Impact intro hits as we run down the card again that will feature Sting vs. James Storm and AJ Styles & Tomko against Christian Cage & Rhino. Speaking of the tag team champs, they are heading out to the ring with Team 3D. Brother Ray gets on the microphone and thanks Matt Morgan for allowing their team to have a fifth member and then introduces their newest partner, “Cowboy” James Storm.

James Storm and Jacqueline come down to the ring, but before Storm has a chance to say anything, Team Cage interrupts as they make their way out of the tunnel. Cage calls out Morgan, who obliges by coming out to the ring and shaking hands with Team Tomko. Cage asks what Morgan is going to do for his team, to which Morgan responds by saying he doesn’t care what he does. Cage fires back by saying he is confident with his four members but he might have an ace up his sleeve.

Borash meets up with Kurt Angle who is now arriving at the Impact Zone. Borash asks if everything is alright with the Angle Alliance as Angle responds by saying that everything is fine between him and AJ Styles. Eric Young comes into the picture and says that he knows that Super Eric is in the building. Angle says Young is just a kid and tells him that he is the only superhero around TNA.

Footage from earlier in the day is aired in which Scott Steiner is driving around with Petey Williams on the hood of his car. Williams calls Steiner crazy as Steiner says he is going to control the title landscape by announcing his title plans later on tonight.

Crystal is backstage with the Monsters of Rock (Black Reign, Rellik & the Rock n’ Rave Infection) who is chased away by the freak show. The four of them offer up some unintelligible comments as we head into our first match of the night.

Match 1: The Monsters of Rock vs. the Motorcity Machine Guns & the LAX
Eric Young is shown in the crowd prior during the ring entrances. The Machine Guns work their magic in the early going and destroy Jimmy Rave. Homicide is tagged in and the monsters start to take over in the match and Eric Young is leaving the crowd as we head into a commercial break.

The rockers are still in control of the match until Homicide manages to land a gringo stunner and tag in Hernandez. The other member of the LAX comes in and tears the other team apart by himself. While his partners help out by keeping everyone out of the ring, Hernandez sends Rave flying with a border toss for the pin fall.

After the win, though, Rellik and Reign come back into the ring and attack the LAX from behind until Kaz comes and lends a hand, but Hoyt is able to take Kaz down with a choke slam. Cue the music of Super Eric, who runs out to the ring and clears the ring of the Monsters of Rock.

Borash is backstage with Sting who says it is great to be back in TNA. Sting then says that James Storm only added fuel to the fire by hitting him with a beer bottle. He says he is going to turn him into a star tonight.

The newest edition of TNA Rough Cut is aired and this week it focuses on the VKM split. Kip James says that he would punch BG in the face if he were to see him today. BG James says that he shouldn’t have brought his family into it and that they need to go out and beat the crap out of each other before they can sit down and talk.

We are then treated to a sit down interview that Mike Tenay conducted with Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed. Tenay asks some basic questions such as where they are from and how long they have known each other. Saeed answers all of the questions by saying that she is from Syria and Kong was born in America but lives in Japan and the two met and trained together in Japan.

Another Consequences Creed promo airs in which he asks if we are prepared to face the consequences, which will take place next week.

Crystal is backstage with James Storm and Jacqueline. Storm says that Sting was in the wrong place and the wrong time. He also doesn’t respect Sting and says that he is already a star and tonight he will become an icon.

Match 2: AJ Styles & Tomko vs. Christian Cage & Rhino (Non-title match)
Cage & Rhino are able to hand it to the tag team champs in the opening minutes of the match. The champs, though, are able to take control after Tomko drove his thumb into the eye of Cage, which allowed Styles to land the Pele as we head into a commercial.

Tomko & Styles continue to work on Cage with quick tags as we return. Cage is able to make a tag to Rhino, but Andrew Thomas didn’t see it and blocks Rhino from entering the ring. Both Styles and Tomko pick up a near falls on Cage until Cage fights back with a DDT and tags in Rhino, but once again the referee missed it and prevents Rhino from coming in.

Rhino losses it and gores the ref and the match turns into an all out brawl as Cage delivers the unprettier to Tomko and Rhino gores Styles. Team 3D run out to the ring and is followed by Kevin Nash with a steel chair and clears the ring of Team Tomko. Cornette comes out and tells David Penzer to announce that Rhino is disqualified and awards the match to Styles & Tomko.

After a commercial break, we return to see Cornette arguing with Matt Morgan, who tells him to relax and says that he is personally going to referee tonight’s main event and guarantees to keep the rest of the participants in the Lethal Lockdown match out of the ring.

More footage of the courtship between Jay Lethal and So Cal Val is aired. This time they are in a Jacuzzi together and Lethal wants to take their relationship to the next level as Sonjay Dutt pops out from under the water and compliments Val on her bikini.

Match 3: Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy (X Division Xscape Match Qualifier)
Skipper is on the attack right as the bell rings but gets tripped up trying to walk the ropes and Shark Boy follows up with a dropkick. Shark Boy then comes out with a Lou Thesz press but Skipper is able to fight back and lands a devastating guillotine leg drop on Shark Boy. You can plainly hear Slick Johnson tell Shark Boy that there is only one minute left so this match should be over quick. Skipper tries to go high risk but Shark Boy blocks it and delivers a hurricanrana followed by a chummer for the pin fall victory.

Crystal is backstage with Traci Brooks and says the bumps and bruises are gone, but what she went through with Robert Roode and Payton Banks is forever etched in her mind. Brooks warns that payback is a bitch as she is interrupted by Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, who warn her to watch her back or else she will end up like Roxxi.

After a commercial, Crystal is backstage with Shark Boy, who says he is going to stomp a mudhole in all of his opponents as Curry Man comes out and speaks in Japanese and it isn’t too well received by Shark Boy, who says his bass will be his at Lockdown.

Match 4: Payton Banks vs. Traci Brooks
The two women kick, slap and punch each other until Brooks lands a huge face plant off of the second rope to pick up the win. After the match Brooks is attacked by Love & Sky and the ring soon fills up with the knockouts until Sharmell comes out and clears the ring by swinging a leather belt. Booker T comes out and tells her to get out of the ring and makes her go to the back.

More of Samoa Joe’s training sessions are aired and Joe says he is busting his ass now so he can kick his ass later. Joe does compliment Angle on his wrestling ability but says that he has a counter for everything Angle can throw at him.

Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring and wants to make sure Samoa Joe lives up to his promise and he wants him to sign a legal document next week about walking away from the ring for good once he defeats him. Scott Steiner’s siren interrupts as he walks down to the ring with the World title briefcase. Steiner says that after Angle’s Lockdown match he is cashing in his title shot and challenges the winner at Sacrifice, who he thinks will be Joe.

Morgan is with Cornette and gives Cornette an idea about a knockout match at Lockdown where they fight to get into the cage and the match will start between the first two in the ring. Cornette tells him to leave the brainstorming to the professionals and keep focused on refereeing his match later on the match. Cornette then tells Borash his idea for Lockdown, which is the same thing that Morgan told him earlier.

Match 5: James Storm vs. Sting
The match goes to the outside in the opening moments as the two fight through the crowd. Sting sends Storm into the wall a couple of times before finally getting into the ring where Storm takes him down with a DDT and we go to commercial.

We return to see that Storm’s punches are having little effect on Sting who comes back with a back body drop and a superplex. Sting attempts a Scorpion Death Lock, but Storm puts a thumb into Sting’s eye. Storm tries for a superkick and Sting counters with a Scorpion Death Lock. Jacquelyn tries to interfere in the match but Morgan stops her, meanwhile, Storm grabs Sting’s bat and is about to use it but Morgan stops that, too, and tosses the bat to Sting. Morgan turns his back as Sting uses it on Storm and delivers the Scorpion Death Drop to Storm and picks up the win.

The rest of Team Tomko comes down to the ring and confronts Morgan as Team Cage enters the ring and takes them down. Morgan levels Brother Devon and AJ Styles and Cage rips off his referee shirt to reveal a Team Cage shirt. Team Tomko look on with a look of shock on their face as Impact comes to a close.
