Footage of last week’s war of words between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle as well as footage of Christian Cage’s involvement in the Icons vs. Attitude feud. Plus, we are kindly reminded that Mick Foley will be making his debut tonight in the Impact Zone.

The Impact intro hits as we are welcomed to tonight’s show as Mike Tenay wonders what will happen tonight when Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle, as well as Samoa Joe and Sting, cross paths as we are only a little over a week away from Bound for Glory. Don West then hypes Mick Foley’s debut a bit as we head straight into the first match of the night.

Match 1: Angelina Love vs. ODB
Angelina attacks ODB before the bell rings as ODB is mocking Angelina’s entrance. The blind attack isn’t enough to keep ODB down, but a distraction by Cute Kip is. As Kip distracts the referee, both Angelina and Velvet Sky lay some boots to her on the outside before rolling her back into the ring where Angelina picks up a two count.

Angelina begins to take her time and seems more focused on posing, which gives ODB an opening to take control of the match. Cute Kip, however, creates another distraction as Velvet Sky spits the contents of ODB’s flask into her face. Angelina is then able to land the Lights Out to pick up the three count.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Jeff Jarrett and has a copy of The Sun with him. Jarrett says there is going to be repercussions for what Angle said in the newspaper interview and is going out to the ring to talk about it right now.

ODB is backstage with Lauren and Traci Brooks, who demands to have a match against the Beautiful People. Traci grants her the match as long as she finds a partner and those partners cannot include Roxxi, Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde as they are all part of a triple threat match at Bound for Glory.

A video package highlighting the feud between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle is aired. It says that Jarrett is ready to defend his company against the greed and arrogance of others. This leads us to Jarrett’s entrance music as he makes his way to the ring with a guitar and a copy of The Sun.

Jarrett talks about how people have never thought he would succeed in wrestling or as a promoter, but those people don’t know who he really is and what he can accomplish. Jarrett then reads some of Angle’s harsh comments in The Sun which gets an “Angle sucks” chant from the crowd.

Jarrett then reads somee comments about Angle’s “father/son bond” with Vince McMahon and Jarrett decides to air some unaired footage of Kurt Angle’s comments about the WWE shortly after his arrival in TNA which contradicts his comments in the newspaper. Angle says that McMahon is dead to him and he is going to make him kiss his ass in two years. Jarrett then says that he just broke their father/son bond and will beat him so badly that Vince wouldn’t want him back.

After a commercial break, Jeremy Borash informs an arriving Kurt Angle about what Jeff Jarrett just said in the ring and that Jim Cornette wants to see him in his office. Angle says that he just got here and storms off.

Match 2: Motorcity Machine Guns vs. the LAX (Monster’s Ball Qualifier)
Homicide and Hernandez work over Alex Shelley in the opening minutes of this match up. Shelley is able to make it to the corner to tag in Chris Sabin, but he also ends up on the receiving end of the punishment.

The match goes out to the floor as the Guns finally take control of the match as they work over Homicide with their quick offense. Some miscommunication between the two allow Homicide to make the tag to Hernandez, who comes in a powers the MMG’s around and nearly picks up the three count after landing the Cracker Jack to Sabin, but Shelley breaks up the pin fall.

The momentum shifts to the Guns once again as the hold their own against the LAX until Hernandez catches Sabin in midair and turns his cross body block into a sit out powerbomb for the win. After the match, Shelley gives the LAX the finger when the duo has their backs turned. Mike Tenay brings up that this is the lack of respect that Sting is talking about.

The next installment of TNA’s Rough Cut is aired and this week the Knockouts are talking about Roxxi’s match at Sacrifice where she lost the battle royal and had to give her head shaved. Even Roxxi’s mom got to add in her comments about her daughter and having to get stitches after being hit in the head with a ladder.

Kurt Angle catches up with Jim Cornette who talks about Angle’s comments, who has to inform him that he is being fined $25,000 for his comments. Angle says he is going to stick the money up Jarrett’s ass as Cornette warns him to not make it any worse.

A new Suicide vignette is aired and he calls himself a cockroach as he has been in the dingy underworld for years. He then goes on to compare himself to a cockroach in many different ways.

Match 3: Jimmy Rave vs. Eric Young vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir (X Division Title)
This match is being refereed by Shane Sewell as Bashir stares him down before the match starts. Jimmy Rave is dumped to the outside in the opening moments, which leaves Bashir alone with Young in the ring. Bashir works over Young until Young tosses him over the top rope and Rave comes back into the match.

Bashir comes back in and works momentarily with Rave against Young. Rave is once again dumped to the outside and Young misses with a top rope moonsault. Bashir then nails Young with the WMD and picks up the win. Bashir then demands that Sewell raises his hand as the referee reluctantly does so.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with Christian Cage, AJ Styles and Jay Lethal, who will be in a match tonight against Team 3D and Booker T. Borash asks for Cage’s thoughts, who tells Borash to give Lethal the spotlight and tells Borash to ask Lethal the questions.

Lethal tells his partners that he won’t let them down and learned from his mistakes from last week. Lethal says that tonight he will take out a legend as Styles asks Cage if everything is cool between them. Cage says he is always cool and Styles takes that as a yes.

Match 4: Team 3D & Booker T vs. Jay Lethal/AJ Styles/Christian Cage
Jay Lethal finds himself on the receiving end of the opening moments of the match up as we head into a commercial break. We return to see Styles in control over Booker T, as the have him isolated in their corner. Jay Lethal is tagged in and he soon finds himself in the wrong corner as Team 3D trips him up and crotches him on the ring post.

This gives Booker an opening as his team begins to work Lethal over with quick tags. Lethal finally is able to take Brother Devon down with an ensuguri and makes a tag to Cage, who comes in and does his best against Team 3D and even delivers a hurricanrana to Brother Ray from the top rope. Cage then comes back with a cross body block that nearly picks up the win.

On the outside, Booker nails Lethal with the briefcase before tagging himself in to the match. Cage is able to roll up Booker, but a distraction by Brother Ray causes the referee to not make the count. Styles hops on the ropes and tries to nail Ray with a flying forearm, but Ray ducks out of the way and Styles hits Cage by accident. Booker then reverses the roll up and picks up the win for his team. After the match, Styles helps up Cage but he doesn’t seem to want any help.

We head backstage to see an enraged Angle busting into Jeff Jarrett’s office, but Jarrett is nowhere to be seen.

Footage of an interview that Mike Tenay conducted between both Sting and Samoa Joe is aired. Sting says that he came to TNA because he saw a locker room of young guys who were going to take wrestling into the future. However, once he got to know some of them more personally, he found out that they are lacking respect.

Sting asks why the younger stars would want to go out of their way to try to take out some of the veterans who had paved the way and Samoa Joe answers by saying that the veterans would do the same to them just to keep their spot.

Sting then begins to talk about how if there were no fans, there would be no Sting. Joe fires back and asks Sting why he is never around for the fans if he seems to care about them so much. Joe says that he respects what Sting was and he is going to knock him off his pedestal and not let him get back up.

Lauren is backstage with Abyss & Matt Morgan and Abyss says that he has been promised that he won’t have to use weapons during the Monster’s Ball match at Bound for Glory. Morgan says that he will handle the weapons and that they are unstoppable together. Abyss then says that his therapist said that if he makes it through the Monster’s Ball match that he will be a top guy in TNA. Morgan just goes along with the statement to make Abyss happy.

Beer Money, Inc. makes their way out to the ring with a microphone. Robert Roode runs down the misfortunes of Salinas and Hector Guerrero as of late due to their actions. Roode then says that they have an open invite to any team in the back or from any other wrestling organization.

Team 3D come out but before they can say much, they are interrupted by Abyss & Morgan and the LAX. Jim Cornette comes out to restore order and adds Beer Money into the Monster’s Ball match and makes it for the Tag Team Championships.

We see the Beautiful People walking to the ring for their tag team match, which is up next.

Match 5: The Beautiful People vs. ODB & Rhaka Khan
The Beautiful People are reluctant to step into the ring with ODB and Rhaka Khan as Khan drags them into the ring the hard way. Cute Kip gets into Khan’s face and causes enough of a distraction to get the Beautiful People back into the match up.

Velvet Sky and Angelina Love work over ODB in the ring until ODB is able to fight her way back into her corner to tag in Khan. Once Khan comes in, she makes quick work of Sky and picks up the pin fall.

After the match, Cute Kip gets in Khan’s face as the Beautiful People attack them from behind. Rhino comes out to aid ODB and Khan as he connects with a couple of rights on Kip before he bails out of the ring.

Mick Foley makes his long awaited debut to TNA as he comes down to the ring with a microphone and is greeted with a “Foley” chant from the crowd. Foley says that it is an honor to share the ring with the likes of Cute Kip. Foley then gives thanks to the fans and Jeff Jarrett for allowing him to come to TNA and Vince McMahon for making his decision to leave WWE an easy one.

Kurt Angle interrupts and storms out to the ring. Angle has a microphone and says that he is the greatest acquisition in TNA, not Foley. Angle says he has carried to company and Foley butts in and says that people like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles also played a part in molding TNA into what it is today.

Foley then says that the main reason he came to TNA is because of Angle. Foley runs down his last days of commentating in WWE and some of the big matches that he sat and watched and names off some names like the Undertaker, Edge, John Cena and Shawn Michaels. Foley then says that he realized that Angle defeated them all and says that he thinks Angle the greatest performer in the history of the business.

Foley goes on to say that he wants to make sure he is the greatest and Angle suggests that he replaces Don West on color commentary. Foley says he needs to be closer than the announce table and announces that he is going to be the special enforcer at his match against Jeff Jarrett at Bound for Glory.

Angle is irate over the news as Foley tells him that he will see Angle in Chicago as he walks back up the ramp and Impact comes to a close.
