TNA iMPACT Report
Airing May 14th, 2009

We start off tonight with a look back at the sacrifices that people are willing to make to face Mick Foley for the TNA Heavyweight Title. Sting has said what he would sacrifice. So has Kurt Angle. Who is next?

We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Mike ‘TNA . . . not the NBA’ Tenay and Don ‘To Catch a Nashville Predators’ West.

Mick Foley takes the opening segment as he comes to the ring to give the Main Event Mafia a breather. Mick has a mic and Mike Tenay teases some problems between Mick and Jeff Jarrett that took place in Nashville.

Mick says that everyone knows that people are sacrificing things to face him for the title at Sacrifice. Kurt Angle is putting his godfather position in the Main Event Mafia while Sting has put his career on the line. Mick wants to talk about something else and he mentions the Jeff Jarrett DVD. Mick says that he might have forgotten about Jeff’s contributions to TNA. Mick says that if you think that something is missing tonight, it is the presence of Jeff Jarrett. Tonight is the first time that Jeff Jarrett will not be a part of Impact. Mick says that he feels partially responsible because he pushed Jeff Jarrett and might have said things that he shouldn’t have. Mick talks about rumors of a DVD of a nasty incident in Nashville. Mick says that there is a DVD of this incident. Mick says that as Executive Shareholder there are some difficult decisions to make. There are some portions that are dark and difficult for TNA fans to watch. Mick says that he thought about it and they did not bring him on board to make the easy decisions. He was brought in to make the difficult decisions. Mick says the fans deserve to see what is on the DVD. We will see that footage throughout the night.

Jeremy Borash is in the Main Event Mafia dressing room and Kurt Angle is not here tonight. It turns out that Kurt is in Hollywood. Scott Steiner says that they are the hottest thing and Steiner says that Kurt put him in charge. Steiner talks about his achievements at Michigan. Booker says that he will take care of Holliday. Kevin mentions that Jenna still has issues with Sharmell and Steiner tries to calm them down. Steiner tells them to take care of their business in the ring while he takes care of the domestic issues.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we go to Mick Foley’s office and Jeremy Borash wants to know about the DVD. Mick is taking down a picture of Jeff Jarrett because of a crack in the glass. Mick asks Borash to ‘show him the eyes’ and he will show him some of the DVD. Jeremy mentions that he learned it from watching Don Knotts on Three’s Company. Eric Young stops in and he wonders if it is an opportunity to be in a tag match with a guy he never met before. Mick tells Eric not to insult Holliday. Mick tells Eric that he will be facing Samoa Joe tonight.

We take a look back at the latest people to accuse Daniels of being Suicide.

Match Number One: Chris Sabin with Alex Shelley versus Christopher Daniels

They lock up and Sabin with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Sabin and Daniels block hip tosses and then Sabin monkey flips Daniels but Daniels with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Daniels with an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Sabin with an Irish whip and Daniels sends Sabin to the apron. They fight to the turnbuckles and Sabin crotches Daniels and Sabin with a clothesline into a Tree of Woe. Sabin with a hesitation drop kick and a near fall. Sabin chokes Daniels and rakes the face. Shelley rakes the eyes while Sabin is with the referee.

Lethal and Creed watch the match from the stage while Sabin works over Daniels. Sabin with an Irish whip but Daniels gets his knees up when Sabin goes for a back elbow. Daniels with a back breaker and both men are down. Daniels with a running forearm and a kick. Daniels with an elbow and a curb stomp from the turnbuckles. Daniels with an STO for a two count. Daniels tries for the Angel’s Wings, but Shelley grabs Daniels’ leg and Sabin attacks Daniels and hits a knee to the midsection. Sabin hits a springboard clothesline for a near fall.

Sabin with a drop kick to Daniels and then he tries for the tornado DDT but Daniels hits a reverse atomic drop. Daniels with a kick followed by an uranage and the BME for the three count.
Winner: Christopher Daniels

Jeremy Borash is with Mick Foley and the referees and Mick says that Slick Johnson is a stooge because he is friends with Jeff Jarrett. Mick also sends Senior Referee Rudy Charles away. Mick says that he will use Earl Hebner. He tells Earl not to disqualify Samoa Joe under any circumstances.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jeremy Borash is with Scott Steiner and Jenna. Scott tells Jenna to stop causing problems with Sharmell. Jenna blames it on Sharmell but Steiner says that Sharmell is Booker’s wife. Steiner says that Sharmell apologized and Steiner wants to set up a summit between the women.

Angelina Love is with Lauren in the back and Lauren wants to know who Angelina was begging to come tonight. Angelina says that she always gets what she wants. She says that she was talking to the only man that she can trust. We see Kip James and he says that the issue is Kong. Kip says that he will be facing Kong in the stretcher tonight.

We go to commercial.

It is time to take a look at Jeff Jarrett and he is with his kids in Tennessee yesterday and he is in the golf cart and jet ski with her. Time to go to dance class. Jeff talks about how he would rather spend time at home than at some diner like Mick Foley.

Match Number One: Eric Young versus Samoa Joe in a Mick Foley told the referee not to disqualify Joe Match

Joe punches Young and hits a running elbow into the corner followed by an enzuigiri. Young punches Joe and then he sends him into turnbuckles. Young does the Young flip and then he slides back in. Joe with a knee and a kick that sends Eric over the top rope to the floor. Young punches Joe on the floor but Joe slams Young’s head into the apron. Joe gets a chair and Young hits Joe and Young slams his head into the chair. Joe throws the chair at Young and Young goes down while the referee does not disqualify Joe. Joe with a jab to Young. Young with a rollup and Joe chokes Eric and Eric tries to escape with the Curly circle on the mat. Eric Young has passed out and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner: Samoa Joe

After the match, Joe takes Eric Young out of the Impact Zone and we go to commercial.

We are back and let’s see where Joe took Eric Young. Joe puts Eric in the open trunk of a car and the car drives away.

Mike Tenay was with Sting to interview him and he talks about Sting’s announcement of what his sacrifice would be. Sting says that he did not expect to do it but it was something that he had to do. He does not want to be remembered as just another name on the TNA roster. He blames some of the problems on Mick Foley. Sting says that he expected that Mick Foley would have made rules to help him out. Sting says that he was second guessing himself in the ring. Sting says that he went back to the hotel and he thought about things and reality set back in and his mind was clear. Sting says that it was all worth it. It was even worth the sacrifice that he is going to make at Sacrifice. It will be the dawning of a new day or the last day of his career.

We go to footage of Lauren with Taylor Wilde on the blind date. It turns out that the secret admirer is Daffney. Daffney tells Taylor that she is going to be the victim at Monster’s Ball. Daffney screams wondering where Taylor was when she had her hair cut by Angelina, Velvet, and Madison. We go to commercial.

We are back and time to see Jeff Jarrett driving his kids home from school.

Match Number Three: Kip James with Angelina Love versus Awesome Kong with Raisha Saeed in a Stretcher Match

They lock up and Kip backs Kong into the corner and Kong stares at Love. Kip is distracted by Saeed and Kong with a splash in the corner. Kong with a running butt splash followed by punches. Kip grabs Kong by the throat but Saeed with a low blow to Kip while the referee is with Angelina. Kong hits Kip with the chair. Kong hits Kip again with the chair and then she puts the chair on Kip’s head and Kong with a splash onto the chair. Kong with a second splash onto the chair on Kip’s head. Kong rolls Kip on the stretcher and he is counted out.
Winner: Awesome Kong

Time for more Main Event Mafia peace talk negotiations. Steiner is with Sharmell and Steiner tells Sharmell that Jenna is sorry to convince Sharmell to be there. What will happen when the two women are in the same room? Jeremy likes the double swerve.

Lauren was in the back with Team 3D and Ray says that the tournament has been going great. He says that tag team wrestling is alive and well in TNA. Ray says that they are proud to be tag team champions. Ray says that they left the other company because they were wrestling the same teams every night. We see the British team attack Team 3D. We go to commercial.

We are back with more footage of Jeff Jarrett in downtown Nashville. Jeff is walking down the street and he sees Jeremy Borash at a Nude Karaoke bar.

Match Number Four: Suicide and Amazing Red versus Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus with Rob Terry in a Team 3D Tournament SemiFinal Match

Williams and Suicide start things off and Suicide blocks a kick and he gets a rollup for a two count. Williams bridges out of a cover and gets a back slide for a two count. Magnus tags in and he gets a kick in the head. Suicide punches Magnus and hits a hip toss. Suicide with a kick and then Red and Suicide sends Williams into Magnus. Magnus with a kick to the head of Red. Williams tags back in and they hit a double Japanese neck breaker. Williams with a head butt and a knee to Red followed by a slam and a knee to the throat for a near fall. Magnus tags back in and they hit a double back elbow and Magnus walks across Red’s back. Magnus with a leg drop for a near fall. Red with a boot to Magnus followed by a flatline from the turnbuckles.

Williams and Suicide tag in and Suicide sends Williams into Magnus. Suicide with a springboard back elbow followed by a fireman’s carry slam for a near fall. Red with a missile drop kick to Magnus and then Suicide puts Williams on top while Red hits a somersault splash from the top to Magnus. Williams knocks Suicide off the top turnbuckle and the Motor City Machine Guns hit a double super kick while the referee focuses on the wrestlers on the floor. Williams with a knee drop from the top turnbuckle for the three count.
Winners: Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus

After the match, the Machine Guns double team Red and then they turn their attention to Suicide because they want to take off his mask. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed come to the ring and we go to commercial.

We are back and Jay Lethal is in the ring and it is 1988. He says that they are going to prove that Suicide is Daniels and they surround him and Suicide tries to escape but they stop him. Before they take the mask off, we see Daniels come to the ring. Daniels and Suicide attack The Guns, Lethal, and Creed. Suicide with a drop kick to Lethal and then he runs Shelley into the turnbuckles. Daniels with Angel’s Wings to Creed. Daniels and Suicide are together in the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Jeremy Borash and Scott Steiner at the TNA recreation of the SALT Talks. Sharmell and Jenna start yelling and there is pandemonium.

Match Number Four: No Limit versus Kevin Nash in a handicap match

Naito and Yujiro double team Nash and Naito with a missile drop kick to Nash. Naito with a kick but Nash grabs Naito and hits a choke slam. Yujiro punches Nash and Nash with knees aplenty. Nash with an elbow to Yujiro. Nash follows that with a side slam to Naito. Nash with a midlevel big boot to Naito. Nash with the jackknife power bomb to Naito for the three count.
Winner: Kevin Nash

After the match, Nash gets on the mic and he says that this world runs on one thing . . . violence. He says that we need it. They say that there is a nation of violence running around TNA. There will be violence at Sacrifice. It’s name won’t be Samoa Joe, it will be Kevin Nash.

Mick Foley is in his office and he has the DVD ready to play. Mick says the DVD is a bit violent. Mick says that he promised to show the fans so he will be showing it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and A.J. Styles is with Lauren. Lauren asks A.J. about the I Quit match against Booker T at Sacrifice. A.J. says that he has been preparing this match his entire life because he has had the opportunity to say I Quit his whole life. This is a match about heart. Since Booker’s ego is as big as A.J.’s heart, this should be an even match. A.J. says that he will never say I Quit.

Match Number Five: Jethro Holliday versus Booker T with Sharmell in a Special I Quit Match

They lock up and Holliday backs Booker into the corner but Booker with chops and punches. Holliday punches back and Booker goes down. Holliday with a back elbow and an elbow to the top of the head. Holliday clotheslines Booker over the top rope to the floor. Holliday goes out after Booker but Booker with a kick and a hot shot onto the guardrail. Booker sends Holliday into the ring post. Booker with a belly-to-back suplex when they return to the ring. Holliday punches Booker and chops him. Booker hits a spinning heel kick and Holliday will not quit. Booker misses the axe kick and Holliday with the big boot. Holliday punches Booker. Holliday with a clothesline that flips Booker. Booker uses a chair while Sharmell distracts the referee to the point where he cannot hear the sound of metal to the skull. Booker with an axe kick and Holliday quits.
Winner: Booker T

Mick Foley is in the production truck and he gives the cue for them to play ‘The DVD’.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for Mick Foley to give us the most anticipated DVD release in Impact history. Mick says that it has come to that time to see what happened in Nashville. Mick warns the people at home (and those using flash photography). Now it is time to see Jeff at the site of his second ever match in 1986. Jeff talks about returning for TNA. We go to Jeff’s dressing room and then to the old box office where his grandmother sold tickets. From out of nowhere, Mick Foley attacks Jeff and he sends Jeff into the bathroom. Mick continues to batter Jarrett. Mick hits Jarrett with a chair.

We are back and Mick admits to being partially responsible for the disturbing footage. Jeff learned an important message and that sometimes you can’t go home. We go to credits
