TNA iMPACT Report
Airing June 18th, 2009

We start off with a look back at last week’s episode of Impact when the man who founded TNA was suspended. Kurt Angle also advanced to the main event at Slammiversary thanks to help from Matt Morgan. What will happen tonight?

We are live on tape from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Don ‘Depth Perception’ Tenay and Mike ‘I’m not being rude . . . I’m being cheap’ Tenay.

We start off with a bunch of balloons and streamers in the ring. Then we see Mick Foley come to the ring with Earl Hebner, a clown, and his security. Mick says what a difference a week can make. Mick says that he found his smile and it is a happy day for all wrestling fans. Mick tells Earl Hebner that he suffered mostly soft tissue damage. Mick says that he has a few special guests before the man of honor. A.J. Styles comes out as well as Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle.

Mick says that it was a hard decision for Kurt to come out but they are here to honor the man who made TNA possible. Jeff Jarrett comes out. Jeff wants to know if Mick has lost his freaking mind. Mick says that he has one trick up his sleeve. Confetti is shot into the air and Mick wants to celebrate Jeff’s return to the ring. Mick says that he has booked tonight’s main event. Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles will team up against Kurt Angle and Sting. But there is more. The third team will be Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett walks out of the ring while Joe attacks Angle.

We go to the back and Jeremy Borash talks about the first Mixed Tag Monster’s Ball Match. Jeremy asks Daffney about her match tonight against Taylor Wilde, Angelina Love, and Awesome Kong. Raven talks about his match with Jethro Holliday about the Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match. Raven says that he can sense Abyss in the building. He says that they are not very different. Raven does say that Abyss is like a rabid dog that should be put down.

We go to commercial.

We are back and it is time to look at the problems that Shane Douglas has with Christopher Daniels.

Match Number One: Daniels versus Amazing Red

They shake hands before the match and Daniels with a side head lock and wrist lock but Red tries to reverse but Daniels takes him to the mat. Red with an arm drag and a drop kick that sends Daniels to the floor. Red with a corkscrew pescado onto Daniels. They return to the ring and Red with kicks to Daniels but Daniels with a clothesline that flips Red. Daniels with a running boot for a near fall. Daniels works on the neck but Daniels sends Red to the turnbuckles. Red with kicks followed by an enzuigiri and a drop kick. Red with a spin kick and Daniels backs into the corner. Red is sent to the apron and then he hits a rana as he comes off the turnbuckles. Red with a flatline as comes off the turnbuckles and gets a two count. Red with kicks to the leg but Daniels with a Death Valley Driver as Red tries for a leap frog. Daniels with an uranage followed by a BME for the three count.
Winner: Daniels

After the match, Shane Douglas appears on the DixieTron and he says that he is a level headed individual. He says that Jeff Jarrett screwed up when he gave Daniels a second chance. Shane accepts Daniels’ challenge for his roster spot.

Lauren is with Taylor Wilde, Raisha Saeed, and Awesome Kong. Taylor says that she never should have gotten in touch with Daffney because she was looking for money. Taylor tells Daffney if she wants to drag her through hell, then she is ready. Saeed takes the mic and Kong says that Monster will Princess first and Monster will kill Monster last. Kong and Saeed leave. Taylor asks Lauren if she is okay and we go to commercial.

We are back and it is time for the lineup on tonight’s Impact. We also look at some of the card for Slammiversary.

Matt Morgan interrupts Don and Mike. Matt says that he has something to say to Sting and he wants Sting to come to the ring. Matt tells Sting that he is not out here to disrespect him like the young punks have. Morgan points out that he is seven feet tall and that he graduated first in his class. Matt says that he wanted Sting to come out because of what was said two weeks ago. Sting told him that he could not be in the Main Event Mafia because he is not a world champion. Matt wonders how he could be a champion when he has not beaten a champion. Matt says that Sting wants respect. Matt wants Sting to respect himself and the Main Event Mafia. Matt wants a chance to defeat a world champion. . . Sting. Matt wants an opportunity to be a champion and face him at Slammiversary. Matt says that he is bigger, stronger, faster, and better than Sting.

Sting tells Matt to stop pointing his finger at him or he will bite it off. Sting tells Matt that he is onto something. He will give Matt the opportunity to wrestle him at Slammiversary. He will give Matt his spot in the Main Event Mafia if he can beat him at Slammiversary. Matt says that Sting is on and then Matt tries to attack Sting from behind, but Sting has eyes in the back of his head and Morgan is sent over the top rope to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back and Jeff Jarrett is with Jeremy Borash. Jeremy wants to talk things over with Jeff. Jeremy reminds Jeff that he was suspended last week and was threatened to be removed by Foley last week. This week, Foley gives him a hero’s welcome. Now Mick and Jeff are in a tag match together. At Slammiversary, Mick will be defending his title in the King of the Mountain match and they are both in the match. Jeff says that we are talking about the TNA champion, the man who represents the company he founded. Jeff does not know which Mick Foley will show up each week. Jeff says that he does not get rid of Foley because of the compassion that you have to show. In three days, the TNA title is coming back home where it belongs.

Match Number Two: Raven versus Jethro Holliday in a Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match

Raven tries to hit Holliday with a kendo stick but he misses and Holliday hits Raven repeatedly with a trash can. They enter the ring and Holliday with a big boot. Holliday gets a cookie sheet and trash can lid and he hits Raven with the lid. Holliday gets the cookie sheet but Stevie hits Holliday with the kendo stick. Raven with a clothesline that sends both men over the top rope and then Raven with a side Russian leg sweep into the guardrails. Raven hits Holliday with a kendo stick and then he chokes Holliday with a part of the stick. Raven hits Holliday with the cookie sheet. Raven gets the chair and he tries for the Evenflow DDT onto the chair but Holliday gets the chair and Raven punches the chair. Holliday sends Raven into the chair and then Holliday with a running knee to Raven. Holliday sends Raven into the cage. Holliday puts Raven in the ropes and Holliday connects with a big boot. Holliday punches Raven again and then Holliday tries for a running cross body but Raven moves and Holliday goes to the floor as the cage falls. Raven gets the three count.
Winner: Raven

After the match, Daffney brings the straitjacket to the ring and they all enter the ring with Holliday. Raven hits the Evenflow DDT onto the chair. Holliday is placed in the straitjacket.

Abyss’ music plays and he comes to the ring. Raven, Stevie, and Daffney leave the ring.

We go to commercial.

We are back with the Samoa Joe interview conducted by Don West. Don asks Joe about the man he is listening to. Joe says that he is not listening to anyone, he is being advised. Joe says that we will find out in due time. Don asks Joe about the issues he has with A.J. Styles. He says that he is like a brother to A.J. and brothers fight. Joe says that sometimes he forgets about some of his allies. Don asks about the issues with the Main Event Mafia. Joe asks Don if you would be understanding if your arm was broken. He talks about the politicking and manipulating that the Main Event Mafia has done. Joe says that they have taken it from the warriors like him and A.J. Styles. He is on a seek and destroy mission and his target is Kurt Angle.

Don comments on how Joe is treating the TNA Title as a secondary feature to getting revenge on Kurt Angle.

Angelina, Velvet, and Madison are walking in the back and Angelina wonders if she can trust her and Velvet asks if she means Kong or Taylor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Abyss is with Lauren and Abyss is playing with her hair. She asks about the Monster’s Ball Match. Abyss starts to laugh and he tells Stevie, Raven, and Daffney that they can do whatever they want to him, but when you put your hands on his girlfriend and do what you did to her, it hurts him. Lauren has to leave and Abyss tells them that they shouldn’t have done what they did. Abyss says that he was told never to hit girls because it was wrong. Daffney is not a girl. She is a whacked out, crazy b***h. After Monster’s Ball, he is coming for Dr. Stevie.

Match Number Three: Daffney and Angelina Love with Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky versus Taylor Wilde and Awesome Kong with Raisha Saeed

Taylor and Angelina start things off but she wants Daffney to start. Wilde works on the arm and Kong is tagged in. Daffney is tagged in and Daffney with forearms but she bounces off Kong. Kong with a hard Irish whip and then she hits a running butt splash into the corner. Wilde tags in and she punches Daffney and gets a near fall. Wilde with a forearm but Angelina pulls Taylor down by the hair. Angelina is tagged in and Wilde gets a double chop. Love is sent into the corner followed by a kick to Wilde for a near fall. Taylor and Angelina both take the other down by the hair. Daffney tags in but Wilde is able to tag in Kong. Kong with a clothesline or two. Kong blocks a bicycle kick from Love and then Kong with a vertical choke slam set up to Love. Sky sprays Saeed in the eyes. Kong with the Implant Buster to Daffney for the three count.
Winners: Awesome Kong and Taylor Wilde

After the match Velvet and Madison attack Kong and then Kong gets sent into the chair with a drop toe hold. Tara comes to the ring and she fights off Love, Sky, and Rayne until Love hits Tara from behind. Love gets out of the ring before Tara can do anything to her.

We go to the back where Jeremy Borash is with Team 3D. Jeremy talks about how Team 3D are going to Japan to defend their IWGP titles and then fly to defend the titles at Slammiversary. Jeremy suggests that the respect is gone. Ray wants to know why Storm and Roode weren’t there. Ray points out that they did not have to help Storm and Roode so where were they. Devon says that it would be in Roode and Storm’s best interest to explain themselves before Slammiversary.

We go to commercial.

We are back with more of Cody Deaner’s training session. ODB says that he is ready.

We go the back where So Cal Val is with everyone who hates Suicide. She asks them their match tonight but Jay still has some issues with Val leaving him at the altar. Shelley says that he has no problem with Val sleeping with Chris Sabin. Shelley says that they joined forces because of Suicide. Shelley says that one of the men from Detroit will win and become a double champion. Lethal wants to know what Shelley meant. Things break down and we go to commercial.

We are back and Val is with Storm and Roode and she asks them if they owe Team 3D an explanation. They say they don’t owe them an explanation. Devon and Ray demand an explanation. Storm and Roode talk about how they were spending the $100,000. Devon says that he is not happy. Devon tells Storm and Roode that they are lucky. Things break down and Team 3D attack Storm and Roode.

Match Number Four: Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed, Chris Sabin, and Alex Shelley versus Team 3D, James Storm, and Robert Roode

Team 3D continue their battle with Storm and Roode while their opponents watch in the ring. Storm and Roode send Ray into the ringpost. Creed and Lethal attack Storm and Roode. Suicide comes into the ring and he attacks Shelley and Sabin before leaving.

The match officially stats and 3D hit the belly-to-back suplex and neck breaker combination on Creed. Ray and Devon with a double back body drop to Lethal followed by a 3D on Shelley for the three count.
Winners: Team 3D, Robert Roode, and James Storm

So Cal Val is with A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe as she talks about the main event tonight and Sunday. A.J. talks about the competition and how he wants to be in the ring with the best and it helps to have a friend to have your back. Joe says that A.J. is not fooling anyone. Joe says that he knows that Styles has not been cleared to wrestle tonight, so he tells A.J. that he has everything tonight. We go to commercial.

We are back and Mick Foley is with Jeremy Borash and we see the new head of security. Jeremy asks Mick about Jeremy’s picture and it will be up when it is fixed. Jeremy calls for ‘his guy’ and it turns out to be Kip James. Kip puts up the caricature of Borash and Foley as he removes a photo of Styles and Angle.

We run through the rest of the card for Slammiversary.

Jeremy is now with Kurt Angle. He asks Angle why he is getting along so well with Sting. Angle says that his whole life is less stressful. Sting has taught him a lot of things. He does not have to scream to get what he wants, he can try to reason with them. Angle says that Kevin, Booker, and Scotty will be in Detroit and he will kick Joe’s ass at King of the Mountain. We go to commercial.

Match Number Five: Samoa Joe and A.J. Styles versus Sting and Kurt Angle versus Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley

Sting and Foley start things off and they lock up. Foley with a punch on the break and then they lock up again. Sting blocks the punch this time and Sting with punches and a bulldog. Angle tags in and he works on Foley’s arm with a hammer lock but Foley works on the arm and tags in Jarrett. Jarrett with an elbow to Angle and he works on the arm. Foley tags back in and he punches Angle. Angle with kicks to Foley’s knee. Angle takes a swing at Styles but misses. Joe and Styles punch Angle and Foley with a clothesline before he tags Jarrett back in. Jarrett with a kick and he tries for the Stroke but Angle counters and tries for the ankle lock. Jarrett counters an Olympic Slam with a DDT. Foley joins Don and Mike at the announce table. Angle with a suplex to Jarrett for a near fall. We go to commercial.

We are back and Angle with forearms to Jarrett and an Irish whip but Jarrett with a kick to Angle. Jarrett with a sunset flip but Angle rolls through into the ankle lock. Jarrett is trying to get to the ropes or try to make the tag but Angle pulls Jarrett into the center of the ring. Jarrett gets out of the hold and Jarrett with an enzuigiri. Jarrett tags in Joe and Joe with clotheslines to Angle and Sting and then Joe power bombs Angle onto Sting. Foley returns to the announce table and then Jarrett punches Foley and security. Jarrett hits Foley in the head with the chair. Back in the ring, never mind, we see Jarrett hit security with chairs. Joe hits a muscle buster on Angle for the three count.
Winners: A.J. Styles and Samoa Joe

We go to credits.
