At the WWE SmackDown tapings last night in Richmond, Virginia, it was officially announced by Teddy Long that Rey Mysterio would be added to the SmackDown Main Event at WrestleMania 22 for the World Heavyweight Title.

As of now, it will be Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Title. It should be noted that there is a World Title Match scheduled for SmackDown next week between Angle and The Undertaker in Washington, D.C. This is why Long referred to the match as Mysterio vs. Orton vs. "The Champ" at WrestleMania.

that would b awesome and i can see that happening, but i say orton pins undertaker to get the title and he ends the UT streak at wrestlemania. this is randys year

i'd like to see taker in it, but not to lose his unbeaten run in wm.

angle wins, and rey dedicates WM match to eddie, after that rey wins at WM. thats my thoughts.

I still can not see Mysterio as World Heavyweight Champion, it would be great but I just can not see it.

Mysterio is more of cruserweight , not heavyweight . Fatal 4 way would be a blast . And its about time someone ends Takers winning streak

Knowing WWE these days they will have Rey lose at Mania and set up a Chavo and Rey feud for after .

Although he could be the winner isnt Kurt supposed to still be On Raw maybe this was just a fill in thing till Batista could come back .

The storyline was that Kurts RAW contract ran out and he saw an opening on SD! to take the title and signed with them, so I guess they'll keep him there but if Angle isn't in the Main Event of WM22 then what would he be doing? I mean Taker always ends up with gimmick matches at WM so he'd be fine if he wasn't in the main event but I think it would be a big blow to Kurt for him not to be in the main event.
