7/20 Dragon Gate Results

The biggest and most important Dragon Gate event of the year is in the books, results from KOBE PRO WRESTLING FESTIVAL 2014 at Kobe World Hall:
They claimed 9650 paid (super full bill stop/a Full House). If the numbers are accurate, that’s the best number ever for this event (topping last year by 50), and if the trend continues the record will fall next year as it appears to have gone up every year.
Syachihoko BOY beat Ryotsu Shimizu & Mr. High Tension Kotoka in a 3-way in 3:53 by pinning Kotoka.

U-T & Yusuke <3 Santamaria beat Super Shisa & K-ness in 6:22. Yusuke pinned Shisa.

Open The Brave Gate Champion Flamita beat Dragon Kid in 15:58 to retain the title. V3 for Flamita.

Open The Triangle Gate Champions Naruki Doi, Cyber Kong & Kzy beat Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!, Jimmy Susumu & Naoki Tanisaki in 17:19 to retain the titles. Doi pinned Susumu after Bakatare Sliding Kick. V1 for the champs.

Masato Yoshino & Ricochet beat CIMA & Matt Sydal in 17:07. Yoshino beat CIMA with Sol Naciente.

T-Hawk & Eita beat Open the Twin gate Champions Shingo Takagi & Akira Tozawa in 30:03 to win the titles. T-Hawk & Eita win the titles for the 2nd time and become the 32nd Open The Twin Gate Champions. T-Hawk pinned Takagi after END Night Ride.

BxB Hulk beat Open The Dream Gate Champion YAMATO in 32:15 to win the title. Hulk becomes the 20th Open The Dream Gate Champion. And the ladies gotta be loving it, as well as anyone who likes a good tale of sweet revenge. Hulk has basically gone these last couple years from popular face to vicious heel to kicked out of Mad Blankey uncermoniously to back to face and now has danced his way to the top of the mountain. And not counting the Brave Gate he has now win every DG title except Open The United Gate, but this clearly is the biggest one. Many congrats to Hulk on this career win and perhaps the birth of another new carrying-worthy superstar.

They now take a couple weeks off before the August tour starts on 8/2 with the first half of a doubleheader at Kyoto KBS Hall. Next up before that is a NEX on 8/1.
