Alberto Del Rio To Launch New Lucha Promotion Next Month

Alberto Del Rio (AKA Alberto El Patron) will launch a new lucha libre promotion in Mexico next month. Details regarding the new promotion were revealed yesterday at a press conference. Nacion Lucha Libre will debut next month on July 11th from the Sala de Armas in Mexico City.

The promotion has also secured a television deal with ImageTV for Saturday nights in Mexico. Alberto said during the press conference that the promotion will be looking into health benefits and other ways to improve conditions for their athletes as well.

The lineup for the first show is as follows:

• Alberto El Patron, Hijo Del Fantasma & Rey Wagner vs MVP, Apolo, & Mesias
• The Lucha Bros (Pentagon & Fenix) vs Chavo Guerrero & Mechawolf 450
• Daga & Flamita vs Puma King & Rey Horus
• Thunder Rosa, Cristy James, & Stephanie Waquer vs Sexy Star, Lady Flammer, & Reina Oscura
• Solar vs Negro Navarro vs Damian 666 vs Canek
• Mr. Iguana & Fresero Jr vs Bestia 666 & Black Taurus vs Laredo Kid & the Tiger
• Hijo De Dos Caras, Hijo De Wagner, Dual vs. Bram, La Mascara and Batab El Guerrero
• Relampago vs. Heddi Karaoui

Alberto’s former valet, Ricardo Rodriguez will work as a referee on the show as well.
