On Wednesday night, WWE taped the next several weeks of NXT television from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Here are the spoilers:
WWE NXT TV Tapings Results (3/13/19)
– Triple H walks out with the NXT Title to the ring. He tells us how special we are to him, NXT is something special. He was going to come out tonight to announce Ciampa vs Gargano for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover, but that can’t happen anymore. When one dream ends, another one begins. Johnny Gargano will compete for the NXT Title at NXT Takeover. He will face the winner of a 5 way with Ricochet vs Adam Cole vs Aleister Black vs Velveteen Dream vs Matt Riddle. The main event of NXT Takeover will also be 2 out of 3 falls to make sure there is a decisive winner.
– #1 Contender Match: Adam Cole defeated Ricochet, Aleister Black, Velveteen Dream, and Matt Riddle. After the match, The Forgotten Sons attack Ricochet & Black.
– Punishment Martinez defeats Riddick Moss
– Humberto Carrillo defeats Albert Hardie Jr
– War Raiders defeat two jobbers. Post-match, Rowe says they are sending a message to their Takeover opponents and request another team.
– War Raiders defeat Adrian Jaoude & Cezar Bononi
– Jaxson Ryker defeats Oney Lorcan
– Kairi Sane vs Bianca Belair ends when Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn, & Marina run in and cause a no contest. Io Shirai runs in to make the save, refs and the women’s roster out to break it up. Io Shirai does a moonsault on to everyone then poses with the NXT Women’s Title.
– Raul Mendoza defeats Brennan Williams
– Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano come out to the ring. There have been a few minutes of dueling “Johnny Wrestling” And “Adam Cole.” Cole says he doesn’t need their support. Gargano says he loves the Johnny Wrestling Chants. Cole claims that Gargano has a poor win-loss record despite his cute little Johnny Takeover name. He’s really Johnny Participation. Cole talks about his road in NXT and how he has done everything to succeed. Gargano talks about his road about working hard despite WWE turning him down, getting a spot in the first Dusty Classic, busting his ass over and over until he was undeniable and got his spot. Cole says no matter Gargano thinks, he can’t beat him. Cole says Triple H may have said that the title match will be Definitive, but Cole says it will be Undisputed
– Vanessa Borne & Aliyah vs Lacey Lane & Kacy Catanzaro doesn’t happen as Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn, & Marina beat down Kacy & Lacey.
– Matt Riddle defeats Kona Reeves. Post-match, Velveteen Dream says he will face Riddle at Takeover.
– Dusty Rhodes Classic Finals: Aleister Black & Ricochet defeat The Forgotten Sons. At NXT Takeover New York War Raiders will defend the NXT Tag Titles against Ricochet & Aleister Black. Post-match, War Raiders out for a staredown with Ricochet & Black.
