Dana White says Glover Teixeira next for Jan Blachowics
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz successfully defended the gold against UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya in the main event of UFC 259.
Dana White knows who Blachowicz’s next challenger is and that person is Glover Teixeira.
“Glover is (next) – 100 percent,” White said at the UFC 259 post-fight press conference.
It could be a while before that bout takes place, as Blachowicz wants quite a long break before defending the title again.
“(I want a) short break – minimum half-year break,” Blachowicz said at the UFC 259 post-fight press conference. “I want to spend some time with my family. I am a father. My child was just born and I don’t spend any time with him because I have to prepare for my fight. If he wants to wait, (Teixeira) will be my next opponent.”
