NJPW Announces Second Round New Japan Cup Matches

NJPW officials have announced the second round matches for this year’s New Japan Cup, which will take place across four shows from March 13th – March 17th.

The Cup will take place over the course of 12 events from March 8 to March 24. The promotion will air these events live on NJPW World, which is their streaming service, with live English commentary. The quarterfinals will then be held on March 20-21 while the semifinals will be on March 23. The tournament will conclude with the finals taking place on March 24.

The winner of this tournament will receive an opportunity to challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the G1 Supercard in Madison Square Garden on April 6th during WrestleMania 35 weekend. The current champion is “Switchblade” Jay White. Here are the matches:
