WRESTLE-1 Pro-Wrestling Training Academy 1st Graduation Class, 3/30/2016 [Wed] 19:00 @ WRESTLE-1 Dojo in Tokyo

~ Today’s show was held in honor of the students who successfully made it through the first ever training class held by W-1. President of the Academy Keiji Mutoh, Vice-President AKIRA, CEO Sanshiro Takagi, as well as teachers KAI and Hiroshi Yamato were present to witness the hopefuls reach one step closer to their dreams. All of the students have been training for the last 6 months leading up to today.

(1) Exhibition Match: Wachihiro Minagawa vs. Sakae Kawachi
◆Winner: DRAW (3:00) Time Expired.

(3) Joshi Match: Reika Saiki vs. Hana Kimura
◆Winner: Saiki (7:50) with a Camel Clutch.

~ Hana [164cm, 58kg – 9/3/1997 from Yokohama, Kanagawa (daughter of Kyoko Kimura)]

(4) Yasufumi Nakanoue vs. Jun Tonsho
◆Winner: Nakanoue (4:56) with a Boston Crab.

(5) Kaz Hayashi vs. Seigo Tachibana
◆Winner: Hayashi (8:17) following the Final Cut.
~ Tachibana [169cm, 69kg – 8/1/1997 from Shinjuku, Tokyo]

~ Following the show, Saiki, Hana, Tonsho, and Tachibana were awarded their graduation certificates.

~ Mutoh commended everyone for their efforts and for making it this far. He also praised both of the women competitors and even stated that he may have to make a women’s section to W-1 one day. He stated that he hopes all of them can continue with their efforts in the future and hopes to see them reach for success. He also mentioned that today is nothing more than a starting point for them and he hopes this was no their goal. There is still a long road ahead for them, but he truly looks forward to them continuing their training if they so desire.
