AEW Dynamite

This week on DYNAMITE, it's a 4-way Women's match with Hikaru Shida vs. Penelope Ford vs. Britt Baker vs. Kris Statlander. Lance Archer & Jake Roberts respond to their actions from last Wednesday. Chris Jericho is in action. Jurassic Express faces off with Best Friends. Brodie Lee goes up against Christopher Daniels. And Matt Hardy & Kenny Omega continue their battle against The Inner Circle facing Santana & Ortiz!

- Jake Roberts and Lance Archer are out to the ring. Roberts on the mic, says he was told to make an apology for what he did to Brandi. He said he'll apologize when she kisses his ass. Roberts says once anyone comes into the ring, it's no man land. Roberts says women are best at home, cooking and taking care of babies. Roberts says to Cody that time is about up and it's time to pay the piper. We hear a truck engine revving up and outside we see him run over some barricades (looked pretty lame). Archer heads out, Cody with a kick between the legs and he swings away on Archer.

Cody then heads towards Roberts, but Archer gets back on him, throwing him over a barricade and crashing through a table. Cody fights back though, counters a chokeslam, but then gets tripped up on the apron. Cody grabs Archer by his hair and chokes him with it. Cody grabs a chair, Roberts bails out of the ring. Cody throws a chair at Archer, but Archer hits him with a big boot. Archer tries for his finishers, Cody reverses it, goes for a disaster kick, Archer blocks it and throws Cody away. Roberts finally calls over Archer and they head to the back.

- Highlight package is shown for AEW's tag team division, showing clips from a number of matches over the past couple months and highlighting all the teams.

Jurassic Express vs. Best Friends (with Orange Cassidy)

Back and forth action early on between Taylor and Jungle Boy. They both tag out, so Trent and Luchasaurus can get in some work. Luchasaurus using his power to toss Trent around, spinning kick to the head, cover, two-count. Jungle Boy brought back in, thows a chop, look for a high risk move, but Trent plants him to the mat. Jungle Boy put on the top rope, hits a dropkick on Trent. Luchasaurus in the ring, roundhouse kick, assisted flatliner by Jungle Boy. Trent tries for a suicide dive, caught, but Taylor helps out and they hit a double suplex out on the floor on Lucahsaurus. Best Friends hug on the outside, Jungle Boy flips down on both guys.

Back from break, Jungle Boy and Taylor tag in and throws a flurry of strikes at each other in the middle of the ring. Jungle Boy hits a back elbow, runs into a high knee, eats a flying knee strike from Trent. Luchasaurus hits the question mark kick on Trent, but Trent fires back with a swinging DDT. Cassidy on the ramp and Fenix hammered him with a single-leg dropkick out of nowhere! MJF throws Jungle Boy face-first into the ring post as the referee checks on Cassidy. Taylor hits the awful waffle on Jungle Boy, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: Best Friends

- Post-match, Wardlow launches Stunt into the barricade, Luchasaurus chases him off.

- AEW World Champion Jon Moxley arrives at the building and is not in a good mood at all after last week's attack by The Dark Order.

Penelope Ford (with Kip Sabian) vs. Britt Baker vs. Hikaru Shida vs. Kris Statlander

Baker goes right after Shida, hits a stomp to the mat, looks to break her teeth on the bottom rope. Statlander picks Baker up and hits a double backbreaker with Shida. Ford with a crossbody on both women, they dodge it, and each hit a kip-up. Shida and Baker at it again, Baker tries for lockjsaw, no luck. Baker hits slingblade, lockjaw attempt, Statlander from behind and grabs Baker by the nose. Statlander picks Baker up, Ford with a kick and Baker hits a DDT.

Ford tries for the pin, two-count. Baker launches Statlander into the second turnbuckle, cover, Shida breaks it up. Statlander eats a rising knee from Shida. Pace has been fast and furious in this one. Couple more pin attempts, all two counts. Baker hits a big canadian destroy on Statlander! Ford with a handspring cutter on Baker, cover, two.

Shida tries for a falcon arrow on Ford, nope, Ford with a stunner. Baker with a swinging neckbreaker on Ford. Statlander plants Baker for a two-count. Statlander in the corner, Shida suplexes Ford into Statlander. Baker with a superkick on Statlander. Both Statlander and Baker out to the floor. Ford with a missile dropkick on Shida, pin, two-count. Sabian gets involved, grabs Shida, Ford charges in, Shida moves, Ford and Sabian decided to have a kiss. Shida kicks Ford, falcon arrow, Statlander breaks up the pin. Ford with a poisonrana on Statlander. Baker gets rid of her on the outside by throwing Kris into the ring post. Shida with a big backbreaker on Ford, knee strike to the face, pin, 1-2-3. On the outside, Baker is giving Statlander lockjaw, refusing to let go.

Winner: Hikaru Shida

- Post-match, Nyla Rose is at ringside, holding up the title.

- "Pineapple Pete" Suge D talks about being on his grind in wrestling for years. He gets a shot in AEW and talks how Chris Jericho disrespected him with the Pineapple Pete name, so tonight, no more insults, he's throwing hands with Jericho.

Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy vs. Santana and Ortiz

Santana and Ortiz attack Omega during his entrance. Hardy eventually makes his way out, Santana charges him, but gets bit as the flame pryo goes off. The wrestlers eventually make their way into the ring so the match can officially start. Omega and Ortiz battle back and forth. Ortiz with the bake rake. Omega fights back with a kotaro crusher and a back elbow in the corner by leaping off Hardy's back. Double suplex on Ortiz, who then rolls out of the ring. Hardy with a side effect on Santana, leg drop, cover, two.

Back from break, Ortiz is really working over Omega. Back and forth forearms in the middle of the ring. Ortiz with a chest rake, does his taunt, but Omega hits a snap dragon suplex. Hardy tagged in, gets in some shots, knocks Santana to the floor, neckbreaker on Ortiz. Omega with a crossbody out to the floor. Hardy with twist of fate on Santana, cover, Ortiz breaks it up.

Omega gets dropped by Santana, tags in Ortiz. They look for street sweeper, Omega moves and Santana goes down to the mat. Hardy tags in and goes for a butterfly submission with the body lock, then dropping down to the mat. Sammy Guevara stumbles out with a neck brace on and wielding a chair. He got hit by that golf cart last week and isn't looking so hot. He gets in the ring, Hardy kicks away the chair and hits a bit DDT. Hardy puts Ortiz on the top turnbuckle, Ortiz shoves him off. Omega lands a v-trigger, Hardy hits twist of fate, cover, and that will do it.

Winners: Kenny Omega and Matt Hardy

- Backstage, Taz talks with Darby Allin. He apologizes to Allin about bringing up him losing to Cody. Taz then breaks down how Allin lost and says he could learn some things from him if he'd listen. Allin cuts him off and lets Taz know about his background in amateur wrestling. Taz says he didn't know about that and Allin bounces.

- Backstage, Lexi talks with Hikaru Shida about her upcoming title match. Shida says the thing that would make her happiest is to win the title. Rose rolls up and says she offers her congratulations and says she found something Shida has been missing. Rose then cracks Shida over the head with her kendo stick. "I found your kendo stick, b----," Rose says with a smile.

MJF (with Wardlow) vs. Lee Johnson

MJF immediately flattens his opponent, continues to beat him up and taunt a bit. Johnson with a big slap, and MJF drops him. He throws Johnson out to the floor, kicks at his ribs and then powerbombs him on the apron. Back in the ring, shoulderbreaker, right into a fujiwara armbar for the tap out.

Winner: MJF

- Post-match, MJF gets on the mic, says he can't wait for Jungle Boy at Double or Nothing. MJF says he's still feeling some ring rust though and when he came to the show today he saw Marko Stunt has a match opening, so MJF signed up for the match.

- At Double or Nothing (Buy-In): Best Friends vs. Private Party, winners will be the number one contenders. Also, Britt Baker vs. Kris Statlander.

Chris Jericho (with Santana, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, and Jake Hager) vs. "Pineapple Pete" Suge D

Jericho wearing a "Pineapple Pete" shirt as he slaps Pete right in the face. Pete swings away, big back elbow in the corner, and hits another one. He runs in again and eats a judas efftect, cover, and we're already done.

Winner: Chris Jericho

- Post-match, Jericho gets on the mic and says now that the threat of Pete has been vanquished, it's back to Elite vs. Inner Circle. Jericho wonders where Hangman Page and The Young Bucks are. Jericho says the Inner Circle is writing history and has come up with a new match the Stadium Stampede match inside of a football stadium. He says The Inner Circle has challenge the group to a Stadium Stampede Match at Double or Nothing. He awaits their answer. Vanguard 1 shows up with an Inner Circle shirt.

He asks if the group accepts, we see Vanguard 1's camera angle and it says "We accept." Jericho asks Vanguard 1 one more time if he'll join the group. Jericho says there's a sixth member to the Inner Circle, his baseball bat, Floyd. Jericho smacks the drone and swings away on it. Sammy then gets in a few shots, too. Matt Hardy runs out to see the complete destruction of Vanguard 1 as the Inner Circle bail out of the ring.

- Updates to AEW Double or Nothing: Mike Tyson to present TNT Championship to winner of Cody vs. Lance Archer. Shida vs. Rose is now a No DQ / No Count-Out Match.

Christopher Daniels vs. Brodie Lee (with 10)

Lee comes out with Jon Moxley's AEW World Championship and hands it off to one of his followers. There's five of them standing on the stage. Lee getting the best of Lee at the beginning of the match. Daniels works his way back into the match on the floor, hits an arabian moonsault, throws Lee in the ring, slingshot elbow drop. Lee is back on his feet and hits a big boot to Daniels' face, goes for a cover, two.

Lee continues to beat up Daniels, goes out to the floor to stare over at Scorpio Sky and Frankie Kazarian, both in the crowd. Back in the ring, Lee with a sidewalk slam on his opponent, cover, two. Superplex on Daniels, Lee on the apron, slingshot senton, superkick, pin, two-count. Daniels tries to fight back with some forearms, enziguri, up to the second rope for a hurricanrana, another leaping elbow strike. Daniels goes up top, but 10 climbs on the apron. Sky and Kazarian beat him up.

Brawl breaks out, but match continues. The distraction causes Daniels to turn his back, nearly takes a chokeslam, nope, angel's wings, cover, two. Best moonsault ever on a standing Lee, cover, two-count. Daniels heads to the top rope, leaps, gets powerbombed to the mat, discus lariat, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Brodie Lee

- Post-match, makes sure Dasha announces him as the "Self-Proclaimed" AEW World Champion Brodie Lee. His minions comes back and hand off the title to him. Moxley walks down through the stands to meet Lee in the ring. Moxley beats up some of the followers, throws one out of the ring. Lee shoves another follower in the ring, Moxley with a paradigm shift. Lee and 10 go to the back, still holding Moxley's title. Moxley on the mic, tells Lee he's made a foolish decision, one he will pay for dearly and with interest. Moxley says the AEW World Championship is more than just a piece of metal and he'll find out at Double or Nothing. Moxley says when the dust settle, Lee may find his AEW career is over before it started.
