When did the rules change about title matches. First CM Punk gets injured and able to walk away from a match against Ryback for title and don't defend for over 40 days, Now Ziggy gets to step out of a match at Extreme Rules because of medical clearance. When did a champion stop having to hand over the title when he can't compete?

When the injury doesn't warrant the surrender of a title, the guy doesn't hand it over. Punk and Ziggler's injuries didn't keep them out an extended period of time. As long as Ziggler's concussion doesn't have any lasting effects, he'll be back in 2-3 weeks. The old "contract clause" that says a wrestler has to defend the title once every thirty days is complete storyline bullshit.
