A number of readers have asked about Ring of Honor's relationship with TNA since the company announced the Motor City Machineguns would be working ROH's 5/8 return to New York City. TNA is now allowing ROH to book some talents for dates as long as the footage is not used on HDNet or any potential PPV broadcast. It's not a sign of a working relationship between the companies as much as ROH can book talent via TNA's offices like any other independent promoter could.
Ring of Honor announced today that Rhett Titus and Skullcrusher Rashke Brown have signed official contracts with the company. Titus is the first student to come out of the company's wrestling academy to sign a deal with ROH.
Tickets went on sale this morning for the 4/3 "Big Bang" Internet PPV in Charlotte, NC at the Grady Cole Center with the first row selling out almost immediately. For ticket details, visit www.rohwrestling.com. Jim Cornette and former WCW promoter Gary Juster are heavily involved with the promotion of the event and Greg Price, who has run the awesome NWA Legends conventions for years in the market, will also be lending his expertise to the show.
Cornette is high on trying to break ROH into some Southern markets that have always done well for traditional wrestling product and there are plans for the company to try and move into additional markets this year as well.
