Brock Lesnar has held the WWE Universal Championship for 400 days. If this latest news item regarding Lesnar’s status for Money in the Bank is accurate, the Beast should have no problem surpassing CM Punk’s 434 WWE Champion reign.

WWE recently announced that Lesnar has signed a new contract. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it’s been rumored that Lesnar signed a short-term deal that would keep him with the company through the summer.

Following a controversial title defense against Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble, the Universal Champion was not on the line at Backlash this past weekend. Lesnar is not advertised to appear on Monday Night Raw over the next few weeks, but Money in the Bank on 6/17 would be the next logical opportunity to see the champ in action.

However, on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Lesnar is not scheduled to compete at Money in the Bank. “He might have agreed to do a deal until SummerSlam, or maybe the July show, but he’s not on this one.”

If in fact Brock Lesnar is winding down with WWE in the coming months, that leaves Extreme Rules (7/15 from Pittsburgh, PA) and possibly SummerSlam (8/19 from Brooklyn, NY) as potential venues for him to drop the Universal Championship.
