Ronda Rousey has emerged victorious in her first match since the former WWE Superstar's reported departure from the promotion.

At SummerSlam 2023, Rousey lost to Shayna Baszler in the 'MMA Rules' match. In the weeks leading up to the event, Rousey informed WWE that she intended to finish her time with the company at the August 5, Premium Live Event. The Olympic Bronze medalist has not appeared for WWE since her defeat.

Rousey attended Thursday's Lucha VaVOOM live event from the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles, California. While seated in the front Raw, the former Raw & SmackDown Women's Champion teamed with her long-time friend Marina Shafir to face Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick. Rousey has specifically requested Kendrick in the past to help produce her matches in WWE.

The mixed tag-team match lasted about five minutes and saw Rousey get the win for her team by making Kendrick submit to her ankle lock. Rousey has posted the entire match to her Instagram page and said that anyone who believed she and Shafir couldn't "make magic" is an idiot.

While Rousey has made her in-ring return, don't expect to see much more of the Baddest Woman on the Planet in the squared circle. Rousey suggested earlier this month that she is retired, and has reportedly expressed interest in a fight at UFC 300.
