SAUNA KOS TIM MEANS, ABEL TRUJILLO NOW MEETS MARCUS LEVESSEUR AT UFC ON FOX 5

If UFC President Dana White's wish that the injury bug finally relents in 2013, the new year can't come soon enough.

The latest proof? Tim Means (18-3-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) slipped in the sauna and has been knocked out of Saturday's UFC on FOX 5 event, and Marcus LeVesseur (22-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has stepped in to fight fellow lightweight Abel Trujillo (9-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC).

"The UFC curse strikes again," White tweeted. "Tim Means slips in sauna and KO's himself so now Marcus LeVesseur vs Abel Trujillo."

White didn't give any details on the injury, which likely came during the fighter's weight-cutting for the event.

UFC on FOX 5 takes place at Seattle's KeyArena, and the main card airs FOX. Trujillo-LeVesseur is part of the FX-televised prelims.

Trujillo signed with the UFC earlier this summer on the strength of a four-fight win streak. The "Blackzilian" team member started his career 1-2, and then rattled off four straight wins before a two-fight skid that preceded his current four-fight run.

Means' loss is LeVesseur's gain. The former amateur-wrestling standout was slated to fight Michael Chiesa at UFC on FOX 5 before an illness forced Chiesa off the card this past week. LeVesseur recently rebounded from a UFC-debut loss to Cody McKenzie with a split-decision victory over Carlo Prater at UFC on FX 5. He's now 4-1 in his past five fights.
