BELLATOR 84 WEIGH-IN RESULTS: LIGHTWEIGHT, HEAVYWEIGHT TOURNEY FINALS OFFICIAL
BY MATT ERICKSON ON DEC 13, 2012 AT 6:50 PM ET

All fighters competing at Friday's Bellator 84 event today stepped on the scale to be made official for their bouts.

A pair of fighters missed weight on their first attempts, but the fighters in a pair of tournament championship bouts were on their marks for the finals.

The weigh-in event took place at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind., about 20 miles from downtown Chicago. The same venue hosts Friday's card, which has a main card broadcast on MTV2 following prelims on Spike.com.

In the Season 7 lightweight finals, Marcin Held (15-2 MMA, 4-1 BFC) meets Dave Jansen (18-2 MMA, 5-0 BFC) for $100,000 in total tournament prize money, plus a shot at the winner of January's title fight between champion Michael Chandler and previous tournament winner Rick Hawn. Held and Jansen each weighed in at 156 pounds.

And in the heavyweight tournament finals, Richard Hale (21-4-1 MMA, 6-1 BFC) left the scale Friday with about an eight-pound advantage over Alexander Volkov (18-3 MMA, 2-0 BFC). Hale was 240, while Volkov came in at 232.2. That winner will become Bellator's new heavyweight champion following the unexpected retirement of champ Cole Konrad earlier this fall.

In a 115-pound women's bout, Patricia Vidonic (7-3 MMA, 0-0 BFC) was off the mark for her rematch against Felice Herrig (7-4 MMA, 1-0 BFC). Vidonic came in at 117.8 pounds and was given two hours to cut to the 116-pound max. And Kenny Booker (2-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC) was 158.2 for a lightweight fight against Robert White (0-0 MMA, 0-0 BFC, who was 155 for his pro debut. Booker was given two hours to make 156 with the one-pound allowance.
