Thursday night’s episode of iMPACT! Wrestling brought in 1.1 million viewers, bouncing back slightly from the 1.02 million that last week’s episode garnered. The episode did not rank among the top 100 shows on cable in the 18 – 49 demographic however, likely due to the hit it took from game one of the NBA Finals. Running from 9 PM – 11:39 PM ET (almost head-to-head with iMPACT!) on ABC, the NBA match-up between the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat received a 5.7/18 with 14.2 million viewers watching. Despite the huge numbers, that is down 17% among Adults 18-49 from the first game of last year’s NBA Final on June 12, 2012. The game was also down 12% in terms of viewers from last year. The NBA finals are hurting both TNA and WWE these days.

UPDATE: The 6/6 TNA iMPACT! Wrestling drew a final 0.9 cable rating with 1.1 million viewers. This is up from last week’s show that drew 1.01 million viewers and a 0.83 (0.8) cable rating.

UPDATE: The 6/13 edition of TNA iMPACT! Wrestling did a 1.03 (1.0) cable rating, with 1.2 million viewers. This number is up from last week’s show that did a 0.92 (0.9) cable rating with 1.1 million viewers. The company is obviously happy with that number as they went head-to-head with the NBA finals which drew a HUGE 14.1 million viewers.

ORIGINAL: Thursday’s episode of iMPACT! Wrestling drew 1.2 million viewers, up 9% from the 1.1 million last week. It’s the highest viewership for TNA since May 9th and did especially well considering the strength of the NBA Finals game, which drew 14.1 million viewers.

The show ranked #76 among Thursday cable shows in the 18-49 demographic.

Default Impact Ratings In for Last Thursday

TNA Impact on Thursday, April 17 fell to a 0.83 rating, down two-tenths from a 1.02 rating the previous week when Eric Young surprisingly won the TNA World Title.

It was the lowest rating of the year and lowest non-holiday rating since the October 10, 2013 episode.

    - Impact drew about one million viewers, down 400,000 viewers from last week's two-month high.

Impact did not rank in the Top 50 shows on cable TV Thursday night.

    - The show was about even in the key male demographics of males 18-49 and 18-34 compared to last week. The sharp ratings decline points to older males outside of the m18-49 window checking out for this show.
