Default Nancy Benoit's Death Wikipedia Edit?

More than 14 hours before deputies discovered the deaths of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and their son, a computer in Stamford, Conn. was used to post a note referring to Nancy Benoit’s death on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, a Wikipedia spokesperson confirmed Thursday afternoon.

Stamford is also the location of the World Wrestling Entertainment headquarters, which leads to questions of what WWE officials knew and when. In the company’s published timelines on the incident, there was no reference to any knowledge of Nancy Benoit’s death until they were notified by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department after deputies entered the home after 2:30 p.m.

The message, which was posted just after midnight eastern time Sunday, made a reference to Benoit’s missed appearance at an event “due to personal issues, stemming from the death of his wife Nancy,” according to Wikimedia Foundation spokesperson Sandra Ordonez.

The company was notified of the entry in question by a volunteer editor, and the foundation then called the sheriff’s department to report the incident, Ordonez said. The company has not tried to identify the person who posted the entry, but is leaving that task up to authorities.

According to Ordonez, the full message stated: “Chris Benoit was replaced by Johnny Nitro for the ECW Championship match at Vengence, as Benoit was not there due to personal issues stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.”

The Citizen has also learned that questions have been raised about the timing of entries in a WWE chat room. A Texas resident told The Citizen in an e-mail that he saw several postings Sunday night including “Benoit killed his wife” and also “Benoit killed his wife and son.” Police have been made aware of those allegations also.

Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said Thursday afternoon the WWE has been very cooperative with him and has volunteered information, but he was unaware of this recent development.
This is just weird and eerie, also brings up an entire host of new questions as Benoit could not of posted it as it came from a Stamford where as Benoit was in Georgia.

I just read this also. This whole tragedy is just unexplainable to everyone. We are only finding out small details as they are leaked to the media/released to the media. Whose to say that anything that is being said is accurate at this point. Hopefully something will come up that will at least lead to some type of understanding of what happened and how or why. For instance I have read reports that the police have stated that his son was smothered with some type of bag. And then yesterday the police are stating that they believe he (Benoit) utilized some type of wrestling choke hold on this boy.
