I have been doing a lot of research to find the best HD service I can find and wanted to hear from anyone that had these services that could give me the good and bads from what they know . . .
Time Warner -
pro's - most popular cable service with great packages of digital phone and Road Runner Broadband service.
cons - Not many HD channels at all and some channels look pretty crappy.
DirectTV
pro's - they promise to have the most hd channels in a year and of course they have the exclusive NFL sunday ticket.
cons - they make you purchase the hd dvr boxes that you will need.
Dish Network
pro's - they currently have the most hd channels and do not charge for all the latest equipment that you will need.
cons - they lock you into a contract for 2 years with mojor penalties if you decide to cancel their service before the end of the contract.
On another note I was told by a dish salesman that the dish actually gets better HD picture than cable because the wiring cable uses takes picture quality away, and the hd picture goes directly to your tv from the dish giving you better picture.
