FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) -- Just in time for Boston College's Matt Ryan to become the Atlanta Falcons' new hope at quarterback, former Falcons star Jessie Tuggle showed up at minicamp Saturday wearing a BC cap.

It turns out that Tuggle's choice of headgear was made before the Falcons made Ryan the No. 3 overall pick in last month's NFL draft. Tuggle's son, Justin, signed with Boston College as a quarterback.

The way Jessie Tuggle sees it, the Ryan draft pick completed a perfect circle -- especially if Justin can take over for Ryan with the Eagles.

"It's funny how things work out," said Tuggle, a Falcons linebacker from 1987-2000. "Georgia to Boston is a long way, but Justin loved the campus and it's a good fit."
