The five British wrestlers who will appear on Augusts Ring of Honors UK debut tour have today been announced in the Daily Stars Fighting Talk column by Patrick Lennon. The names have been carefully chosen by ROH management and are believed by all in the company to be the best and most relevant selection of UK talent that could have been picked for this history making weekend for Americas fastest growing independent wrestling company.

The names are:
-“The Anarchist” Doug Williams
-“The Phoenix” Jody Fleisch
-“The Wonderkid” Jonny Storm
-Spud
-Robbie Brookside

Williams, Storm, Fleisch and Spud have all previously wrestled for ROH with Spud making his first appearance for the company in Ohio just a few weeks ago. Brookside has been widely requested by a large number of ROH wrestlers to be brought into the company for sometime but no location seemed more fitting for his Ring of Honor debut than the first night of the ROH UK tour in his very own home town of Liverpool. The “Wildcat” as he is often known has a very long history with ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson dating back to when the former “American Dragon” was still in training. How this association with the companies undoubted new figure head will affect the highly respected veteran are yet to be seen.

Check out next Friday’s edition of Fighting Talk for an exclusive interview with Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson as he gets set to defend his title on this ground breaking UK tour. The feature will also include a MASSIVE Ring of Honor competition where fans will have the chance to win an amazing selection of DVDs, t shirts and even tour tickets themselves.

There are yet more ROH names to be announced so keep reading the UK’s only pro wrestling friendly newspaper for more details on wrestlers and matches over the coming weeks as we draw closer to August 12th and 13th.
