STOCKTON, Calif. -- Following Saturday's successful championship triple-header at an apparent sold-out Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif., ProElite Head of Fight Operations Jeremy Lappen confirmed that the organization will return to CBS airwaves Oct. 4.

Like the organization's U.S. network television debut in May, EliteXC superstars Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson and Gina Carano have been booked for the show.

The event will take place at the BankAtlantic Center, a 22,000-seat arena near Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Ferguson's and Carano's opponents have not been determined, according to Lappen. Additionally, it was not determined if a one-hour Showtime card will precede the CBS broadcast, which was the case on Saturday.

Ferguson and Carano were both in attendance at Saturday's event.

Carano could fight Cristiane Cyborg (5-0), who made a dazzling EliteXC debut with a second-round TKO of Shayna Baszler on Saturday's CBS card. Kelly Kobald, who's 0-2 in her past two fights (after starting her career 16-0-1), has also been mentioned as a possible opponent.

EliteXC Live Events President Gary Shaw, who recently took a reduced role with the organization, had promised a future fight between Ferguson and undefeated heavyweight prospect Brett Rogers after the two fighters got in a small skirmish after EliteXC's May 31 event. However, as MMAjunkie.com previously reported, Doug DeLuca, executive chairman of Pro Elite, Inc., recently cooled rumors of the bout.

"I definitely cannot confirm that he will fight Brett Rogers because we're not sure that's the next fight for Kimbo," DeLuca said.

The Oct. 4 event will be the third of four that EliteXC is contracted to produce for the CBS "Saturday Night Fight" series. The contract is expected to be renewed through 2009.
