Default PWG Results - Battle of Los Angeles - 11/2

Match 1: TJ Perkins vs. Chuck Taylor
    - Chuckie T does some wacky lucha and comedy (Grenade spot) to start but TJ gets feed up and goes to work on one of Chuck’s legs. Chuck makes a fun comeback till TJ pulls out some brass knucks, which the ref didn’t see. Chuck is able to steal the knucks and KO TJ which gets the pinfall but the ref sees the knucks and reverses the decision giving TJ the win. NOTE: This was the exact same finish of the Hero/Ryan match from BOLA last year. **3/4
    Winner: TJ Perkins

Match 2: Brandon Bonham vs. Kenny Omega
    - Omega comes out with BOLA shirt on, then goes back through the curtain for 5 seconds and comes out again but with a Kota Ibushi shirt on. Omega is billed from POKEMON STADIUM. Omega and Bonham pulled each others long hair quiet a bit early in the match. Omega ended up getting his trunks bunched up in his crack so he decided to just give himself and nice full wedge to give everyone a view, this stuck around for most of the match. Omega had one hilarious comedy spot where he pulled Bonham’s hair into a ponytail then he gave Bonham a pelvic thrust to the face. The finish was quiet awesome, Omega hit a huge HADOUKEN which threw Bonham onto his head then he called for Croyt's Wrath to finish but Bonham escaped down the back then Omega turned right into a Canadian Destroyer for the pinfall. ***1/4
    Winner: Brandon Bonham

Match 3: Austin Aries vs. Nigel McGuinness
    - Another great match between these two. Nigel worked Aries arm while Aries would try to soften up Nigel’s head. Nigel hit an awesome Tower of London on the apron. Late in the match Aries’s arm was worked over to the point where he couldn’t lock in the Horns or hit a Brainbuster. To finish Aries hooked in the Horns of Aries as best he could but Nigel was able to break the hold and switch into the London Dungeon for the tap. ****
    Winner: Nigel McGuinness

Match 4: Low Ki vs. Roderick Strong
    - Ki and Strong hit each other very hard. At one point Ki chopped Strong who screamed “C’mon is that all you got!” or something like that but whatever it was the crowd went crazy as they started trading. Nice counters from each man into either a double stomp or backbreaker. Ki picked up the win via submission following the Dragon Clutch. ***3/4
    Winner: Low Ki

    INTERMISSION: Snack Time

Match 5: Joey Ryan vs. Scott Lost
    - They made a tag team entrance. To start Joey told Scott his boot was untied so when Scott went to tie it Joey roll-up him up for a 2. Joey did his HHH spots in the match; facebuster, high knee, spinebuster and a Pedigree but Scott survived. Lost made his comeback and looked to finish Joey with a Superman Spear but Joey hit him with it and hit a folding powerbomb for a 2. Joey looked to follow with the Superkick but Scott countered knocked Joey to his knees and hit a spinning kick to the head to get the victory. ***1/4
    Winner: Scott Lost

Match 6: Bryan Danielson vs. Davey Richards
    - Danielson truly is great. Davey works over Dragons arm with a bunch of wacky holds to setup the Kimura. Each man employs a good deal of kicks. Davey had the advantage for most of the match taunting Dragon a lot. Davey did a sweet dive which landed him right next to me. They blocked each others finishers which ended with Danielson catching Davey with the Cattle Mutilation for a win. ****
    Winner: Bryan Danielson

Match 7: Nick Jackson vs. Masato Yoshino vs. El Generico
    - Nick did his goofy Shawn Michaels walk in the ring that he employed on ECW this past week. Generico and Yoshino formed an alliance to take out Nick early on. Another big dive, this time from Nick ended up right in front on me. Plenty of nice spots from each man: Yoshino had his dropkick/senton combo and a super sling blade, Generico had his Ole Kicks and a crazy counter into a Brainbuster then Nick had his 450 and an arm drag/headscissors combo. Finish saw Generico go to the floor allowing Yoshino to hit Nick with the Torbellino followed by the Sol Naciente for a submission victory. ***1/2
    Winner: Masato Yoshino

In the time between these matches two overweight gentlemen in my section not 15 feet from each other broke through there chairs within a period of 2 minutes. My friend had a good laugh at this.

Match 8: No DQ: Chris Hero vs. Necro Butcher
    - Hero got on the mic and said he wanted to wrestle with Necro, he accepted and they chain wrestled for the first 5 minutes of the match. Necro actually used a good deal of wrestling holds in this match including a monkey flip, a hammerlock, a side headlock, a bridge, a top rope crossbody, a missile dropkick and an abdominal stretch. Then the brawling on the floor started. These men were thrown through sections of the crowd. They hit each other with plunder including a garbage can who’s lid Hero threw at the ring but it flew over and landed in a group of people. There was an epic battle to see who would go through a table on the floor; it ended up being Necro via blockbuster from Hero off a stack of boxes. Finish saw Hero survive a Chokeslam and Tiger Bomb then land a series a ROARING ELBOWS(call it rolling or discus if you will I think roaring is a cool name) followed my the Hangman’s Clutch which left Necro no choose but to tap. ***3/4
    Winner: Chris Hero

Sounds like an awesome show overall. Looks like some great matches on paper, might have to look into getting the DVD.
