Laura White has become the fifth contestant to be voted off The X Factor.

The 21-year-old lost a sing-off for the final spot on next week's edition of the ITV show against PR worker Ruth Lorenzo, 25.

Earlier in the evening Mariah Carey performed her classic track Hero with all the X Factor finalists live on stage.
