    Default OVW Taping Results

    Quote Originally Posted by PWInsider.com
The tapings opened with a dark match between Aaron The Idol Stevens and Danny Inferno. Fans started chanting "DANNY" at the onset of the match. It appeared that this may start slow but Inferno took the offensive for 2 quick near falls. Idol made a brief comeback which resulted in more "DANNY" chants from the crowd. Inferno has another near fall and then takes the boots to Danny. The ladies then have their turn as Shelly distracts the ref, Beth Phoenix grabs Inferno's leg. Inferno gets sidetracked and leaves him open for Idol to hit the Idolizer and get the pin fall victory.

The show opens with The Miz on the OVWtron. The Miz says exciting things are happening and takes into a crowded locker room where Jeter is laying with his hair cut and unconscious. The Highlanders explain that Chett The Jett And Seth Skyfire ran into Jeter's locker room and slammed the door, then all that could be heard were terrible shrieks of agony. Chris Cage tries to run out of the building but The Miz stops him. He tells Cage he moved to Louisville to team with him. Chris says that he cant deal with what's going on and he is quitting. As he tries to run Chett blindsides him. The Miz breaks it up and tells Chett that their beef is old news. Chett tells The Miz he has to decide where he stands.

Jeter makes his way out into the arena complete with his stylish new hair cut. Jeter grabs a mic by the announce table and says that on behalf of himself and all the "turkies" in the arena he hates Dean Hill, he hates his mustache, his family, and in fact if he sees Hill's grandkids he'll kick them. Hill states that all of that is well and good but he adores Jeter's hair. Jeter grows angrier and gets in the ring challenging Seth or Chett to come and get their heads super kicked off.

Seth Skyfire comes running out of the back, now sporting a new look. His hair now short, black with a few blond streaks. He also sports Black and yellow tights to match Chett. Skyfire lunges for Jeter but Jeter starts pounding him. Jeter nails one wheel kick on Skyfire and then goes for a second. Skyfire sees the second one coming and hooks Jeter into a backslide for the pin.

We now see Punk and Albright facing off in Albright's locker room. Albright says that Punk should admit that Albright is the better wrestler. Punk states that Albright is the better grappler but Punk is the better fighter. Punk says Albright may make people tap out to the crowbar, but when they duke it out, it's always Punk with his hand raised. Osama then interupts again proclaiming that he is greatest luchador and Cuban champion. Albright tells Osama to either get out of his locker room or tap out in the ring. Albright thinks he can make Osama tap out in 5 minutes. Punk laughs. "Oh sure you can go make sad sack like Osama Villanavjo tap out in 5 minutes har har." Punk says he can do it in four minutes. Albright and Punk then go back and forth saying one can make Osama tap out faster than the other. Of course Robbie Dawber then comes into the picture saying that neither Punk nor Albright can make Osama tap out. Punk then asks Albright if he would like tag with him against Dawber and Osama to see who can score a submission first.

CM Punk and Brent Albright defeat Robbie Dawber and Osama Alejandro in an I Quit tag match when Dawber submits to Albright's Crowbar in under 20 seconds. As Albright celebrates Punk slaps the Anaconda Vice on Albright. They roll around the ring as Punk screams "Go to sleep!" When Albright finally passes out Punk takes the mic. "I guess you are the best submission wrestler around then, Brent. When you finally wake up though remember, you just got punked."

Mikey Batts comes out to ringside to be interviewed by Al Snow. Batts states he's always a small guy having to fight big guys, and he will fight any big man, any time. This brings out the two giants, Tytus and Da Beast. Beast starts mouthing off to Batts who simply punches Da Beast. We have an impromptu match! Batts just keeps jumping on Da Beasts back and choking him, all the while Tytus simply watches. After several go arounds of this, Da Beast chases Mikey outside and as Mikey runs and the ref is distracted Tytus nearly decapitates Batts with a lariat. Da Beast then gets the easy 1-2-3.

Our TV Main Event, saw Paul Burchill and Ken Doane put on a spectacular wrestling match. Both wrestlers came out equally over with the crowd during introductions. Doane was accompanied by Kenny Bolin, Sousay, and Dean Visk. While waiting on Burchill to arrive, the Spirit Squad came out and gave a pep cheer for Doane. Burchill comes out and quickly gets crowd firmly behind him, sending Doane into each corner to receive a chop. After already several near falls Bolin attempts to run in and is laid to waste by Burchill. As Visk takes Bolin to the back Doane nails an RK-Doane only to have Burchill again kick out. They continue to have a see-saw battle trading near falls, when Sousay hits the ring during an advantage by Burchill. Burchill sets Doane up for the C-4 when Sousay jumps onto the apron. Burchill pulls her in and Doane tries to attack. Burchill sends Doane into the corner and tosses Sousay out of the ring. Doane comes back with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall. Doane goes up top but Burchill catches him for a superplex and the pin fall victory.

Dean Hill then tells us a lot has been going on in the back tonight and we go back to the OVWtron for several promos.

First Jeter is crying over the loss of his hair. He says he has lost his hair, his titles, his friends, he has nothing now. The camera pans over to the Spirit Squad standing in the room with him. They hand him a uniform and tell him he has something now. Jeter is ecstatic.

Next we see Deuce Shade, he explains that Rob Conway was wrong and he isnt ashamed that Jimmy Snuka is his father. However now has to be his own man and find something to inspire him to comeback. Until then we've seen the last of Deuce.

Out in the hallway Kara Slice skates down and past Domino Cliff Compton doing his Andrew Dice Clay shtick to Amish Roadkill. Domino then sees Deuce and makes a coconut joke about Snuka Sr. Deuce says the guys are right and Domino is hilarious. Domino says Deuce reminds him of a better time and that they should team up as a couple of throwbacks, Domino and The Super Guy. Deuce likes it and throws the Snuka hand sign.

Paul Burchill is cooling off in the locker room from his victory when Idol, Shelly and Beth greet him. Idol wants to first congratulate him then ask to employ Burchill's services as a bodyguard to protect Idol from Punk and Albright. Burchill says that he has eye on Idol's prize. Idol says that Burchill cant have Beth but he can have Shelly, she then starts licking Burchill. Burchill throws Shelly to the side and states that he means Idol's TV Title.

Lastly we hear screaming from Ken Doane's locker room. It's Dean Visk screaming that he quits. "He doesn't appreciate my intelligence, I hate Ken Doane!" As he storms down the hallway, all four members of the Spirit Squad peak out a door way and smile as we fade out.
Sounds like another solid show, the Punk/Albright fued has been rather good so far, and the ending with Punk making Albright tap out and then going on the mic and saying "once you wake up, you'll realise you just got Punk'd" was a class segment. It'd be also great to see Burchill as the OVW T.V. Champ as well, seeing as the C4 is an awesome move and he's more than capable of being a champion as fans of the FWA will remember when he was still wrestling for the company, before his big move to the WWE
