Internally, TNA officials believe Christian Cage is through with the company. They did make an attempt to get him to stay, even holding a meeting with him asking him what it would take for him to stay with the company. TNA even had some of the top wrestlers individually try and talk him out of the leaving the company, but he wouldn't commit. Had Cage stayed in TNA, he would have been the main talker on the babyface side against the Main Event Mafia. WWE sources believe he's coming in while TNA believes Cage will be linked to Edge upon his return to the company. With Edge's position in WWE, TNA believes the spot is worthy of the heavier schedule. However, Cage going to WWE doesn't come without risk. In TNA, he's guaranteed a position high up on the card whereas in WWE, Vince McMahon was never too high on him during his last run in the company as he didn't see too much in him.
