Milan Are Prepared To Sell Emerson To Portsmouth - Agent

FIFA agent Vincenzo Morabito has revealed that Emerson could depart AC Milan this week and join Premier League club Portsmouth.
Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti left Emerson out of the squad for the trip to Bologna, allegedly due to a foot problem. There have been reports that English side Portsmouth are interested in luring the Brazilian to Fratton Park before transfer deadline day and that this could be the real reason as to why Emerson did not feature at the weekend.

“Perhaps Emerson is not part of their [Milan’s] plans at the moment,” agent Vincenzo Morabito is quoted as saying on Sportmediaset.

“We are negotiating on behalf of Portsmouth and Milan are ready to sell. We must consider that the player’s contract will run out next June.

“It remains to be seen what his decision will be. A one and a half year contract would probably satisfy him…”

Press reports have suggested that Emerson’s declarations to Spanish newspaper AS last week angered the Diavoli camp, as he claimed that compatriot Kakà had turned down a mega-offer from Manchester City in order to join Real Madrid next season. However, the midfielder later denied making such statements.
