Wrestler’s Ex-Wife Charged With Murder

Manitoba, Canada, justice officials have laid a first-degree murder charge against a woman following the death of her ex-husband, a former Manitoba independent wrestler known as the “Croatian Giant.”

Melody Sanford had previously been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and was slated to appear in court Wednesday afternoon to plead guilty and be sentenced.

Radocaj enjoyed a brief stint as a pro wrestler back in the early 1980s, under various ring names including the Croatian Giant, Ivan the Giant and Big John Radocaj.

He died just weeks after he accused Sanford of threatening to have him killed after their three-week marriage fell apart that summer.
