July 22nd: ROH World Champion Austin Aries saw the footage and heard the comments made by Mark and Jay Briscoe on the most recent Videowire, and he was none too happy. "I look at the Briscoes," said Aries. "Two multi-time World Champions in ROH. One can't stay healthy, and the other talks too much. Now these guys offer to ‘back up' Kenny Omega, and frankly, I don't understand why. Sure, the Briscoes battled King and Titus last TV taping. And sure, Omega has had ‘issues' in dealing with us. But if Omega thinks this is going to help him get the fans in Toronto a shot at seeing him beating A Double for the ROH Title, he's mistaken. I was torn on whether or not to give him a shot on Saturday, but if anything, this makes the decision easier. Wait – now I'm unsure again. In fact, I think I'll wait until Saturday night to let everybody know."
