If there's one seemingly inescapable annoyance about modern rhythm games, it's that nobody wants to sing unless they're deeply familiar with the song in question; as much as you love playing those Phish B-sides on drums, good luck finding somebody to jump in on vocals at a party.

It's that exact problem that Microsoft aims to solve with Lips: Number One Hits. Their followup to last year's karaoke game features a setlist of 40 songs, each of which has climbed to the very top of major global charts. They may not have the indie cred of some of Activision and Harmonix' choices, but they're absolutely recognizable.
