RCW presents live pro wrestling featuring Mick Foley, Hernandez, Trina and more!

River City Wrestling -- San Antonio's brand of professional wrestling -- hosts a live wrestling event entitled "It's a Nice Day in RCW" on Saturday, August 1, at the San Antonio Events Center, 8111 Meadow Leaf (corner of 410 & Marbach).

The doors open at 8 p.m. and the action starts at 8:30 p.m.

Appearing at this event will be "The Super-Mex" Hernandez, the lovely Trina, and the "Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley, a former WWE Champion who now wrestles for TNA.

    On the card:

Sportscaster Joe Reinagel went from being Commissioner to now "the boss" of RCW. Due to his team's win at the July 18 "Step Into Our World" event, Reinagel has renamed RCW "Reinagel Championship Wrestling." He has already made a few changes (such as the look of the web site) and is now in charge of the company. What will happen with this new, dark direction?

"The Super-Mex" Hernandez, fresh off his comeback from neck surgery in RCW and TNA, will face the self-proclaimed "RCW Legend" Andy Dalton in a Bodybag Match. While it is interesting that Reinagel made this a singles' match, however, rest assured that Reinagel's clan of Pink, Joey Spector, and Mr. Yebisu will be keeping a close eye on this match. Reinagel also stated that he has something up his sleeve for Hernandez now that former RCW Promoter Brandon Oliver is history.

Big Dogg will defend his RCW Championship in a mandatory title defense against "Flawless" Jerome Daniels. Reinagel has made this match a mandatory title defense to see where Dogg's loyalties lie. For the past few months, "The Enforcer" of the HNIC, Big Dogg, has had a conflict with fellow member "Pretty Boy" Keith Lee. Now Dogg must put his title up against the spokesperson of the group, Jerome Daniels. Will Daniels feel the brunt of Dogg's power, or will Dogg display where his loyalties belong?

The Gulf Coast Connection (Rudy Russo & Ben Galvan) will put up their half of the Tag Team Championship against the half held by "Pretty Boy" Keith Lee. On July 18, The Gulf Coast Connection defeated Big Dogg and Keith Lee, but Lee stated that his half of the championship was not on the line. While he escaped with the title belt on that night, now Lee has to put the money where his mouth is by facing the Gulf Coast Connection 2-on-1!

The flamboyant Ann Dromeda will team with the "Extreme Aztec" SKAM-13 to face the creepy clown known as Regrub and the vicious Pink. Pink has shown her mean streak lately, aligning herself with Reinagel and her brother Spector. With the creepy Regrub by her side, they will face the high-flying luchador SKAM and Ann Dromeda, whose demure demeanor cannot mask his undying passion and talent inside the ring.

Long-time Texas referee Alex Marrozos will take on the hated Joey "Supershot" Spector in a rematch inside a Steel Cage. These two have taken their rivalry to a higher level with Marrozos actually getting physical inside the ring. These two met already in a Street Fight back on the June 6 "Sunny Days are Here Again" event, with Alex scoring the victory, although Spector claims no one saw that his shoulders were up because he was inside of a trash can! One other thing -- with the match being inside a steel cage, this guarantees a one-on-one match between these two with nowhere to run!

On July 18, Weazy Woo was supposed to face Skitz-Bro in a "Loser Leaves HNIC Match," but the group instead unceremoniously dismissed Weazy from the HNIC. This time, these two will face, with the disgruntled Weazy Woo looking to settle his score with Skitz-Bro!

All of this, plus much more!!

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/military ID. Tickets are available at the door the night of the event or in advance at Astro Bowl Sports Center, 3203 Harry Wurzbach; Gallista Gallery, 1913 S. Flores St.; or online at http://www.rcw-wrestling.com. For more information, visit http://www.rcw-wrestling.com or call (210) 842-8398.

BACK FROM THE DEAD” – AMERICAN LUCHACORE DEBUTS IN SOUTH JERSEY ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH!

“Wrestling for OUR generation, by OUR generation”… it’s the tagline for AMERICAN LUCHACORE (ALXC), and after much anticipation, the company that took the Midwest by storm with a dynamic combination of hard-hitting, high-flying, action-packed intensity is finally ready to debut in its new home on the East Coast! The long-awaited return will take place on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH at 5pm at “The Alley” at Legends Xtreme in conveniently located Washington Township, New Jersey!

With a mixture of wrestling’s top talent from the country’s top promotions, and an eye on the stars of the tomorrow, LUCHACORE is committed to providing East Coast fans with a truly unique wrestling experience that they won’t get anywhere else. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce the first match for September 20th’s “Back from the Dead” event…

    "Who’s the MAN…or woMAN?”

At first glance, one would assume that these two competitors couldn’t possibly share anything in common. NICK GAGE, a former CZW Tournament of Death Champion, multiple-time World Champion, global ass-kicker and “Ultraviolent” founder of the H8 Club is the ultimate man’s man. For fun, he enjoys fighting, either in his local neighborhood bars, or in rings surrounded by barbed wire and light tubes. He drinks beer, watches football, and eats chicken wings and burgers, with no regard to his “figure”, or the counting of calories. He is also the master of the Chokebreaker, and quite simply put… “the MAN”.

Then, there’s his opponent… she… (or he?)… is quite the opposite. SUPER OPRAH is a lethal dose of daytime drama, cosmetology, and mood swings. In addition, she’s also a pretty decent pro wrestler with experience in the ring against the likes of Daizee Haze, Eugene, Sami Callihan and Tracy Smothers to name a few. With a mean streak that rivals that of the meanest men in the business, Super Oprah is not one to be messed with when it’s “that time of the month”… and definetly don’t ask her how much she weighs, or you’ll find yourself on the business end of her patented Chokebreaker.

And so we come full circle… in a contest that pits too competitors who have absolutely nothing in common, there is the one bond that brings the two together… their signature maneuvers. On September 20th at ALXC’s “BACK FROM THE DEAD” return, both men will look to unleash their variation of the vicious maneuver on the road to victory. How will the volatile Gage react to his unorthodox opponent? Will Super Oprah’s career come a screeching halt at the hands of “the MAN”? Or, will Super Oprah unleash “that time of the month” all over Gage en route to the pay window? We will find out at “BACK FROM THE DEAD!”

    --------

    CZW presents:

    A Tangled Web 2
    Saturday, August 8th - 730PM
    The CZW Arena
    7 W. Ritner Street - Philadelphia, PA

7/30 - CHAINSAW vs. xOMGx added to "Tangled Web 2"!

The rivalry between the Switchblade Conspiracy, and the Naptown Dragons has reached an intense level which has left bodies battered, blood spilled, an impending Tangled Web Deathmatch, and now, the calling of backup, as both factions will send a third member to battle at August 8th's "Tangled Web" event.

The Switchblade Conspiracy's "Chainsaw" Joe Gacy will lock up one-on-one with The Naptown Dragons returning xOMGx in a battle which will likely set the tone, and the momentum for the grueling tag-team barbed wire showdown later in the night between the teams respective leaders. The Chainsaw has looked impressive since his re-debut in CZW, showing a toughness and aggression that he had previously not shown. Meanwhile, the toughness of the xOMGx has never been in question. The youngest member of the Naptown Dragons has not only competed in Tournament of Death, but is also a Veteran, having survived a tour of duty in Iraq, where he proudly served in the U.S. Military. At August 8th's Tangled Web, the two will meet with momentum on the line as each team looks to establish superiority in what has become an Ultraviolent war of bad blood.

Stay tuned to CZWrestling.com in the coming days as we round out the card, and provide more exclusive videos, all in the build to CZW's August 8th return to action!

    LEGENDS OF WRESTLING!
    "Polish Power" IVAN PUTSKI
    "Mr. Wonderful" PAUL ORNDORFF
    "Superfly" JIMMY SNUKA
    and more!!!
At IWC No Excuses 5, we will also be paying respect to the Legends of Wrestling! Already announced as appearing are “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka, and “Polish Power” Ivan Putski.

    JUST ADDED:
    IWC World Heavyweight Title Match:
"The Future of Fashion" SHIIMA XION vs. "Fabulous" John McChesney
IWC officials were notified of two shocking events on Friday that will have a major impact on the “No Excuses 5″ event this weekend in Elizabeth, PA. First, we received word that Dennis Gregory had injured his right knee. Naturally there was a suspicion that this information could be false, however it has indeed been verified that his right knee was in fact injured, as Dr. Nick Ditulio wrote a report before he went on vacation indicating that Gregory suffered torn ligaments in his right knee that may or may not require surgery. Gregory is scheduled to see local Pittsburgh orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael Anderson for further testing this Wednesday. Regardless, he will not be able to compete in the Texas Death Match against John McChesney this weekend. Begrudgingly, we here at IWCwrestling.com wish Dennis Gregory all the best and hope for a speedy recovery.
We were also notified that due to visa issues, Ricky Reyes will not be able to appear for IWC this Saturday at IWC “No Excuses 5″. He has vowed to return to IWC in the near future, and Shiima Xion is still clamoring to get revenge for his attack at Super Indy. These two situations left a void in two matches, and IWC Officials decided to give multi-time IWC Super Indy champion and perennial favorite John McChesney his first shot at the IWC heavyweight championship, as on Saturday night, August 1st, Shiima Xion faces John McChesney for the IWC heavyweight championship!
This is a match that fans have dreamed about for quite a while, and it will finally come to fruition. Though both men seem to have no personal issue with each other, both men’s drive to succeed is sure to make this match one of the most hotly-contested of the night, and quite possible this could turn out to be a legendary contest before it is through.

    JUST ADDED:
    Six-Man Tag Team Match:
"Superfly" JIMMY SNUKA, MICHAEL "The Bomber" FACADE, & JIMMY VEGA$ vs. LORD ZOLTAN, SHANE TAYLOR, & LOGAN SHULO
Jimmy Snuka’s place in wrestling history has been solidified for decades now, but he is still as competitive as ever. A true legend of the mat wars, “Superfly” is undefeated in IWC competition, and words simply can not do justice in detailing his contributions to the profession. Michael Facade is starting to just hit his stride in the wrestling world, and is considered by many as having the best chance of anyone in the locker room as being the next breakout superstar. Jimmy Vega$ is a former IWC heavyweight champion whom has made sporadic appearances for the company over the past several years, but has declared that he is looking to re-establish himself and his legacy, and this six-man tag is the first step. Lord Zoltan is another that needs no introduction. Zoltan has been competing in the ring for nearly three decades, and has though he has competed regularly mostly in the tri-state area, his name in known literally all though the wrestling world. The consensus “Pittsburgh Legend” marks his IWC return by teaming up with two of the “young lions” in Shane Taylor and Logan Shulo. Both of these members of IWC promoter’s “N-Con’s Army” are still in the primitive years in their respective careers. Teaming with Zoltan and standing across the ring from Snuka, Vega$, and Facade can only help increase their development by leaps and bounds.

    IWC Super Indy Title Match:
"The Whole Shebang" JOHNNY GARGANO vs. first ever 2-time Super Indy Tournament winner SUPER HENTAI
For the IWC Super Indy championship, Super Hentai makes his first defense of this title reign against Johnny Gargano. Gargano was forced to surrender the Super Indy championship due to injury last year, and has not been seen in IWC since. Upon winning Super Indy VIII, Hentai was being presented the championship when Gargano returned to attack the new champion. Now, these two face off to determine the undisputed Super Indy champion.

    "Bounty Match":
"DeeeeeeeeeeeeeLicious" JIMMY DeMARCO vs. "The Baddest Man in IWC" RAYMOND ROWE
When the match announcements were made here on IWCWrestling.com, it was reported that the Jimmy Demarco-Ray Rowe contest would be a “bounty match”. When pressed for more information, IWC promoter N-Con simply said, “Stay tuned!” Well, it has now come to light that N-Con is so obsessed with eliminating Jimmy Demarco that he has put up $10,000 of his own money to anyone whom puts Demarco out of IWC! Now, N-Con turns to one of his personal henchmen, Ray Rowe, to collect the bounty and eliminate Demarco. Rowe is one of the most feared men on the independent scene, with unmatched strength backing up his violent streak. Will N-Con finally rid his life of Demarco, or will Jimmy be the unlikely victor again in his crusade against our crooked promoter? The Jimmy Demarco vs Ray Rowe bounty match takes place at IWC No Excuses 5 on August 1st at Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA!

    IWC Tag Team Title Match:
IRISH AIRBORNE (Jake & Dave Crist) vs. THE GAMBINO BROTHERS (Mickey & Marshall Gambino)
In a match for the IWC tag team championships, Jake and Dave Crist, the Irish Airborne, defend against Mickey and Marshall, the Gambino Brothers. The feud between these two teams turned violent at Super Indy VIII, and now they will meet an No Excuses 5. However, a standard match just will not suffice, so IWC officials have determined that this match will have stipulations to be determined.

    International Challenge:
    JASON GORY vs. KUSHIDA YUJIRO
Jason Gory’s biggest moment was when he won the Super Indy championship at Super Indy VI in the Super Indy scramble over John McChesney, Eric Young, and Larry Sweeney. He again stands on the brink of a career defining moment when he faces Japanese sensation Kushida Yujiro! An introductory profile on Yujiro will be available this weekend here on IWCwrestling.com, but we promise that you will not be disappointed when you see him in action.

    Tag Team Action:
SEXUAL HARASSMENT vs. MARION FONTAINE & KATO
Two of the most outrageous, cocky, and arrogant stars to recently join IWC's roster are Marion Fontaine and Kato. On August 1st, they will team up to take on one of the most outrageous tag teams and successful tag team dynasties to step into an IWC ring, Justin Idol & Eric Xtasy, Sexual Harassment. Harassment need a victory to get back into tag team title contention, while Kato & Fontaine are looking to find success in an IWC ring and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with. Who will come out on top here?

Plus all the fun & surprises you've come to expect from IWC!

The International Wrestling Cartel is pleased to announce that it has joined the Wrestlers Rescue Program!
Wrestlers Rescue is an organization that was founded by former WWE and ECW alum Dawn Marie. While they have taken on several wonderful causes in their short time, currently their main concern is to raise money for wrestling legend “Dr. Death” Steve Williams. The following was taken from wrestlersrescue.org:
“Wrestlers Rescue (has begun) a campaign to raise approximately $20,000 for our mutual friend Steve Williams. Williams underwent throat cancer surgery in 2004, and was declared cancer-free in 2005. During the surgery to remove the cancer and to reconstruct his throat the doctors inserted a unit called a Stoma. This unit requires him to place his thumb over the hole in the stoma when he wishes to communicate. As science has progressed, it now leaves Steve eligible to obtain a hands free device. As you can only imagine this would provide a more convenient and healthier way of life for him.
Since Wrestlers Rescue is primarily a foundation that helps to raise monies for injuries and ailments due to a career in wrestling , this does not mean that WR cannot help to facilitate a fundraiser to help one of our professionals raise money to help them live a better quality of life. We plan on do ing so by helping in the organization of various fundraisers.”
The IWC will be taking part in this campaign, as on August 1st at IWC “No Excuses 5", we will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win an autographed cowboy hat signed by WWE Hall of Famer, “Good Ol’ JR”, Jim Ross!
All proceeds from the raffle will go towards the purchase of a new voice box for Dr. Death Steve Williams.
You can purchase your raffle tickets now at www.iwcwrestling.com or at the No Excuses live event on August 1st.

Raffle tickets for the Jim Ross autographed cowboy hat are only $3 each, or 4 for $10.

For further information about Wrestlers Rescue, its campaign, auctions, raffle tickets, and more, go to http://www.wrestlersrescue.org

The A-Team of Rob Banks and Jacc Movez have their work cut out for them this week on television/online. They have to defend their TWF Tag Team Titles in a 4 way match which also included The Knockout Kings (FTW & Beast), Chris Cardenas & Johnny "Demon"Calloway, and Lenny Vegas & Matt Justice. The saving grace for the The A-Team could be the fact that Alex Morrow has two teams from his faction in the same match. Conflict? Togetherness? Watch and see. Also scheduled is a singles match with two young stars. It's CJ Profit versus Carnie Craig, however, there have been some backstage rumors floating around that BAD COMPANY (Co-Commisssioner Johnnie "Balla-Ball" Williams, Sick Case, and Steel Johnson) will change things around. What will happen? Can the charismatic 2008 Rookie of the Year Carnie Craig survive? Or will the innovative, former 2 time TWF Tag Team Champion CJ Profit prevail? All that and some ultra-hilarious old school retro clips from the TWF archives. Think frying pan, Crown Royal, a former "mad" referee, and a loudmouth former manager with a size 18 shoe.

See the hour of mayhem anytime this week at *****************

    or

Monday, July 27th 11pm/Wednesday, July 29th 9pm Ch 18 in the Sacramento, CA area

Thursday, July 30th 10pm Ch 15 Davis, CA
