Japan has recently gotten its annual Monster Hunter fix via the Nintendo Wii's Monster Hunter Tri, but what about North America? Well, as luck would have it, the west is covered as well.
Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Tri will be coming to North America and Europe in early 2010. That puts it right in the middle of a logjam of delayed titles, including Red Steel 2.

Monter Hunter Tri's big feature is the inclusion of online co-op via the Wii's wi-fi connection. For those who want to go solo, the computer has thoughtfully included Cha-Cha, an AI hunter.

Capcom will be bringing a localized version of Monster Hunter Tri to GamesCom, but if you don't want to wait that long to hear about it, then we've got a hands-on preview of the Japanese version right here. Apparently it's the "most painless online experience on the Wii," which isn't a bad selling point.

We'll have more information for you when Monster Hunter Tri makes it debut at GamesCom.
