After disposing of rising welterweight contender Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at UFC 106 tonight, Josh Koscheck believes that he, and not Dan Hardy, should be the number one contender for the UFC welterweight championship, held by Georges St-Pierre.
“There is someone here who thinks he’s the No. 1 contender,” Koscheck stated after the fight. “He hasn’t fought anyone. He’s sitting over there. His name is Dan Hardy."

Hardy seemingly walked away from UFC 105 as the number one contender after defeating Mike Swick. Meanwhile Koscheck has gone 3-2 over his last five bouts, and has already suffered a defeat at the hands of St-Pierre at UFC 74 in August of 2007.

"He hasn’t fought anyone like me," Koscheck stated. "I'm the No. 1 freaking contender in this weight division, right here.”

Hardy, who was at cageside, just laughed Koscheck off.
