W-R has just learned the sad news that Jim White, a professional wrestling star in Memphis, Tennessee during the 1960s and 1970s, has died at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer.

White is perhaps best known by fans as the first tag team partner of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler. During their partnership, they had a big feud with the team of Jackie Fargo and Jerry Jarrett. Lawler and White became Southern Tag Team Champions in 1973 before going their separate ways in 1974.

We here at Wrestling-Radio.com would like to offer out sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Jim White during this tragic time.
