- Multiple WWE sources are reporting that Vince McMahon has decided to go a different direction with the Bret Hart storyline and WrestleMania. Believe it or not, the plan as of this weekend was for Bret to win the WWE Title at WrestleMania.

The plan as of Sunday morning was to have either Batista or John Cena walk out of Elimination Chamber with the WWE Title, which obviously Batista won. This should lead to Bret Hart & John Cena vs. Vince McMahon & Batista at WrestleMania with the person who gets the winning pinfall will be new WWE Champion.

The angle has been described as something that would be a "feel-good title win" for Bret. A likely ending for the match would be for Bret to make Vince tapout with the Sharpshooter but that's nothing confirmed.

Vince has gone back and forth on where they're headed with Bret for WrestleMania a few times over the past month but as of this weekend, this was the plan.

Although plans can and likely will change, the plan was for Chris Jericho to win the world title in the SmackDown! Elimination Chamber match in two weeks.

That would allow 'Taker to go off and face Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 26 while Edge would challenge Chris Jericho for the title at 'Mania. They would play off the past tag-team angle when Edge got injured.

At that time, Jericho stated that he was the backbone of the team and went off and got The Big Show as a new partner. As always, things can change so nothing is at all confirmed at this point. Stay tuned to this website for more.

WWE.com has a feature from the WWE Magazine, showing the current layout of the University of Phoenix Stadium for Wrestlemania. They have done this in the past, and image shows the roof open with a structure above the ring, similar to Mania 24 and fire along the entrance ramp. The piece also lists the show as being "open air" in one of the descriptions, so they are planning for an outdoors event.

Here are some notes on the WrestleMania 26 set from the new issue of WWE Magazine:

* The dome in the University of Phoenix Stadium will be open, like WrestleMania 24, making it an open-air event.

* Over 1,500 miles of cables and wire will be ran through the stadium to light the ring, stage and entrance way.

* Close to 400,000 pieces of pyro will be used and shot over 200 feet into the air above Phoenix.

* The 110 foot tall above-ring structure will hold 30 tons of light, sound and video equipment and look similar to the one at WrestleMania 24.

* A $250,000 four-sided LED big screen with 150 speakers will hang under the ring structure ensuring a great view for everyone.

* Before heading to the ring, WWE Superstars will first walk onto a 120 foot-wide stage that stands 8 feet above the floor. As of now, they will then head down a ramp to the ring that will be surrounded by cauldrons of fire. These fire cauldrons will be placed all around the WrestleMania set and will burn high or low, depending on what the action in the ring calls for. Each cauldron burns at about 1,000F degrees.

The release date for WrestleMania 26 on DVD is set for May 4th. There will be a 3 DVD set released, as well as a 2 disc Blu-Ray set, that will include the PPV and complete Hall of Fame Ceremony.

- The first Money in the Bank qualifying matches for WrestleMania are scheduled to begin on next week's RAW.

As noted earlier this week, qualifying matches for Money in the Bank at this year’s WrestleMania were scheduled to begin on this coming Monday’s RAW. With the news from yesterday that WWE is planning a Money in the Bank pay-per-view for later this year, it’s highly unlikely that the match will take place at this year’s WrestleMania but that’s still not confirmed.

I reckon they should like do an angle where if HBK Loses he attacks Taker sometime after the match so it's a spin where they both get time off, which is very well deserved!
And i think they should repackage Taker with the American Badass Gimmick and CUT HIS GODDAMN HAIR!

Maybe I'm the only one, but.....

Given the fact that we all know Michaels is going to be back in time for SummerSlam, I get the feeling WWE's going to screw the match up by having it end somehow in a draw/no contest. That way the streak and Michaels's career both stay alive.
