BTN: NXT Has the Longest Match of the Week and ROH Reaches Milestone

This week saw WWE Raw set the pace for the most wrestling on a show and kept the lead for the week with slightly more than a half hour of wrestling. Ring of Honor was the closest contender with just under a half hour. TNA Impact and WWE Smackdown rounded out the top three with twenty six minutes of wrestling. TNA Impact was the only show this week that did not have a match that was more than ten minutes, but they did have a nine minute main event.

Ring of Honor passed a milestone by hitting the six hundred minute barrier. Next week’s Raw should see them break the 700 minute barrier unless they go overboard with flashbacks through the first 899 episodes of Raw.

After a week with no matches that qualify for the minute long club, we have one that challenged for the shortest match in the history of this column. While the match might have lasted almost ten seconds, it still goes into the books as a one minute match. The other matches in the shortest of the week category were all from this week’s Smackdown.

On the other side of the ledger for this week, the longest match of the week came from NXT and was their only match of the night. That gave this week’s NXT the longest per match average for a show.
