UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua recently took to Twitter to issue a plea to UFC President Dana White in hopes of bringing his brother, Murilo "Ninja" Rua, into the UFC fold.

"we need ninja in the ufc.. @shogunrua and NINJA In a same card. nINJA nINJA!!!!!!," "Shogun" posted.

While never quite reaching the peaks that his younger brother "Shogun" has, Murilo Rua was once considered one of the brighter prospects at middleweight or light heavyweight. "Ninja" has never been able to quite break through to the top tier of fighters in either division but always shows up to fight and is currently on a four-fight winning streak.

"pleaase give a chance for NINJA fight in UFC , he always give very good fights for the fans @ShogunRua know this too !!RUAS !!," wrote "Shogun."

"Shogun's" pleas have been roundly supported by fans and fighters alike, who have re-tweeted his messages to Dana White. One fighter in particular, "The New York Badass" Phil Baroni, is excited at the prospect of bringing "Ninja" to the UFC and believes that his arrival would shake up some of the monotony.

"@philbaroni make it happen! For those of us that are tired of lay and pray!," Baroni wrote on his Twitter account.

Murilo Rua owns a 20-10-1 record as a professional. His losses have all come in high-profile bouts against the likes of Dan Henderson, Ricardo Arona, Kevin Randleman, Sergei Kharitonov, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, Paulo Filho, Denis Kang, Robbie Lawler, Benji Radach and Riki Fukuda. He owns notable wins over Joey Villasenor, Xavier Foupa-Pokam, Mario Sperry and Jeremy May.
