This week’s edition of By the Numbers starts a new era for the calculation for TNA Impact. Since there was wrestling that took place on Reaction, in weeks where there is more than a minute of action on Reaction, TNA Impact’s total will reflect a three hour show. This is based upon the distinction between a show like WWE Raw having an overrun past their scheduled time. On TNA Impact, they specify that it is the end of Impact and the start of Reaction.

This week saw a significant drop in the total amount of matches but only a single minute less than last week when we saw a record number of matches thanks to four matches over an hour compared to only one from last week.

Ring of Honor showed a lot of consistency with three matches averaging ten minutes, including a ten minute draw between Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey, which was one of the best matches of the week. WWE Superstars continued to have a number of longer matches as they continue to inch their way closer to return to the twenty minute per hour of wrestling.

TNA Impact and WWE Smackdown shared the honors of longest match of the week with Impact providing us with an eight man elimination match that took two shows to finish while Smackdown gave us a very long King of the Ring Qualifying Match.

This week we broke the one thousand total match barrier with the main event on Smackdown and next week could see WWE Superstars pass the 800 minute barrier.

The wrestling times below cover the wrestling that takes place during the show so commercials are not included. All times are rounded to the closest minute (examples: a 4:23 match will be listed as 4 minutes while a 4:32 match will be listed as 5 minutes and anything under a minute is rounded up to a minute).
