John Cena Being Eyed for New TV Series

Australian movie website WhatsPlaying.au is reporting that John Cena is being considered for a television adaption of the James Cameron film "True Lies" that is currently in development. It's important to note that nowhere in the report does it state Cena has even been officially approached or offered anything, just that he is on the radar for the role.

As someone who worked in the entertainment industry for a long time, it's commonplace for names to be thrown out as projects are developed, just to give those working on the project an idea on the "type" they are looking for. Usually, it doesn't mean that name is going to be approached, but you never know.

A number of readers have passed on the article link, since the original piece is being picked up by other entertainment sites, but I'd advise you to take it with a grain of salt as nothing is even remotely close to official.
