ROH Star Works TNA Tryout at Tapings

El Generico worked a TNA tryout match tonight at the Impact Zone, putting over The Amazing Red.

John Benoit sent word that Generico and Red had a good match and had the crowd "really into it", which is saying something for the last match on a taping.

Interestingly, Generico is still under contract to Ring of Honor. I was told by ROH sources that he was given permission to take the tryout by ROH President Cary Silkin. ROH has given permission to contracted employees in the past, including Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong, to work dark matches for WWE and TNA.

TJ Perkins is also slated for a dark match tryout this week

^^ I doubt Generico will sign a contract with TNA. He's in the main event picture in ROH at the moment, and he got put over by Steen after they year long feud.
