No matter what we have been through, Show has run away. He came out here after Hell in a Cell and said that he had a smile on his face. Sheamus says that he is not smiling any more. We go to commercial.

We are back with an Earlier Tonight Moment of what happened with John Cena, AJ Lee, and Dolph Ziggler. If you missed it, you will be able to see the whole thing on Superstars.

    In-Ring:
Paul Heyman is in the ring and he introduces himself. Paul says that you don’t boo him. He is here tonight to honor a man who has successfully defended the WWE Title for 365 consecutive days and the people boo him. Paul wants to know if they are upset with CM Punk for successfully defending the title against John Cena and Ryback.

Are they mad because they made fun of Jerry Lawler. When CM Punk and him give them a taste of attitude after the people yearn for the Attitude Era, they boo him. They will chant ECW at him, but when they are given the Extreme, they boo him.

The WWE Universe cannot handle the greatness of the WWE Champion when he comes into the ring and makes history by raising the bar so high. This man for whom this celebration is for, stands heads and shoulders above the rest. Not just for today but for all time.

It is time to put a smile on your faces because this is a celebration. A celebration of 365 glorious days of the reign of the current and reigning WWE Champion, the best in the world.

CM Punk is introduced and he makes his way to the ring.

Punk allows Paul to keep his mic and Paul is so happy.

Punk says that Shawn Michaels couldn’t do it. Triple H couldn’t do it. Bret Hart could not do it. Punk says that must make him the best there is, the best there was, or the best there ever will be. The Undertaker could not do it. Dewey . . . Dwayne. . . The Rock couldn’t do it.

365 days as WWE Champion. One calendar year.

We have a video package of CM Punk showing the milestones of this 365 day journey that led us to the Punkiversary.

Punk and Paul appear to have enjoyed that video.

Punk says that today is a special day. It is a night of celebration. It is not about the past, it is about looking to the future. Punk says that he knows his place in history. He is on his way to the top. Punk says that he has his eyes set on July 25, 2018. On the 355th episode of Main Event, he will pass Bruno Sammartino to become the longest reigning WWE Champion in history.

Paul says that when he was taking photos in Madison Square Garden. He got to know Bruno Sammartino. He likes Bruno and Paul says that Bruno should be in the Hall of Fame. Punk will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. Bruno could never beat CM Punk.

Hulk Hogan could never beat CM Punk. Another ‘Paul Heyman guy’, Steve Austin could never on his best day beat CM Punk. At the Royal Rumble, not even the Rock will be able to beat CM Punk.

Punk thanks Paul for setting this up. A lot of people asked him about his title reign. He has been asked about his most important victory. There were a lot of them, but to beat Ryback and John Cena single handedly made it to number one with a bullet. Many thought he was going to lose. Only two people believed that he could pull off the impossible and they are both in the ring. CM Punk survived Survivor Series.

Yeah, he was in a lot of pain but I hope that was just the sudden shock of the table hitting him. Although seeing him limp out was not a good sign, I bet you Vince was there waiting for him.
