definitially the attitude era
i would have to say the early to mid 80's. its when i started watching, just as hulkamania was starting, the whole mtv/rock n wrestling thing. Sitting back on a saturday and watching wwf, awa, nwa from 10am-2 in the morning. Watching the so called legends of today, either emerging as rising stars, or in their true prime.
Right after we moved out of the Attitude Era, wrestling was clutch. That's when you had the big pushes for Jericho and Angle and wrestlers were not so concerned with being badasses, so you actually had some different personalities on the roster. During the attitude era, everyone was just trying to see how many times they could say hell, ass, or damn during a promo.
the two week "Rated R" Era
definitely the attitude era, the greatest stable of all time, DX was on top, the good guys were still there, and the rock didnt go hollywood yet.
My personal favorite era of professional wrestling was the period of 1997-2001. The storylines and competition between wCw and WWE were outstanding and should not be forgotten.
