I'd be ok if Punk gets a rematch at a PPV for the title....... but if its just to get get Rock to go over in a Chamber, then suck a dick....

Still better than him dropping it at EC and losing a lame rematch on Raw so he can't fight for the strap at Mania.

F4Wonline.com reports that word at Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view was that officials were considering a CM Punk vs. The Rock rematch for Elimination Chamber. The original plan was for The Rock to compete in the Chamber match but they may end up changing that.

Thumbs up Spoiler on the WWE SmackDown Elimination Chamber

It was announced at last night's WWE SmackDown tapings that the winner of the Elimination Chamber match will face the World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 29.

No word yet on the Chamber participants but Dolph Ziggler, a returning Jack Swagger, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Sheamus, Randy Orton and The Great Khali were teased at the tapings by Booker T. Ziggler made it clear that he didn't want in the match and teased that he would be cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania.

Well I'd assume WWE has bigger plans for Cena, Sheamus, Ryback at Wrestlemania than they have for the Shield. I'd be worried about the Shield losing if it was a 3-1 handicap match against Cena. But a 3 vs 3 match does work here on multiple levels. Puts Cena on the card, like it or not. Gets Sheamus and Ryback out of the World Title Chamber match, so they don't have to get eliminated there. Which may be enough to get Orton the strap off of Del Rio. Now I'm not as sure they'd actually book it with typical Chamber rules. It would only work well when its a 2-1, 3-1, 3-2 Shield Advantage really. But maybe they do a straight up 6 man tag, or 6 man elimination tag.

3 vs 3 in a Chamber match, would obviously be something different even if its elimination rules in the Chamber. At the very least starting with 1 member per team start, and then random entry. But then also not needing just a single winner. I like that dynamic for allowing the Shield to dominate 2 vs 1, 3 vs 2 or 3 vs 1. But that probably only accounts for eliminating Sheamus at best.

A 2nd chamber could have been cool to have for the tag titles, or the US belt or something. But very doubtful that ever happens.

Are you sure that the 3 vs 3 are in the chamber?

Yeah they can easily make it work in a Chamber, by tweaking the rules, certainly. And I do like the dynamic of having 2 vs 1, 3 vs 1, 3 vs 2, advantages to the Shield. But in the end what does that really get you? Sheamus gets beat, but fends off a double team for 5 minutes and only loses cause a triple team? Even if its just an elimination match, you know the kind of sh*t they'll book. Sheamus gets DQ'd, Ryback involved in a double count out, Cena with the AA to Rollins for the win. And sadly that's looking at it optimistically!

Who knows maybe we can get a big swerve...
