Activision Blizzard has today revealed their latest financial report for the fourth quarter of 2012, and with it news that Blizzard's MMO, World of Warcraft, has again dropped in subscriber numbers, down to 9.6 million subscribers. The recent drop in subscribers isn't that much of a surprise after the previous Q3 financial report suggested a subscriber amount of 9.1 million, down from 10.2 million, however the MMO is still proving a substantially lucrative product for the publisher.

Alongside reports of World of Warcraft, the conference also listed Blizzard's recent action-RPG, Diablo 3, at more than 12 million sales worldwide, making it the number one selling PC game at retail globally through December 31st. The report also listed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 as the number one best-selling title in dollars for Activision, with it being the "first video game ever to cross the $1 billion mark in 15-days, eclipsing “Avatar’s” 17-day movie record". Activision also revealed that their Skylanders franchise has generated more than $1 billion in sales since launching, with more than 100 million Skylander toys sold worldwide.

Among the conference was also talk of a new, unannounced MMO that Blizzard is working on, which could be the yet-to-be revealed Titan MMO. While no actual details were revealed regarding the unannounced title, Blizzard also confirmed that their upcoming release Blizzard All-Stars, a DOTA-themed StarCraft 2 mod, is still being worked on, however, no release date has been given.

Activision has also confirmed that a yet-to-be-announced Call of Duty is slated for 2013, with CFO Dennis Durkin stating, "The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation, and we expect the new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher". No release date or details were given, or what platforms it will be on with rumours expecting next-gen console announcements from Sony and Microsoft soon, but more details will most likely be announced at E3 this year.
