Sarah Silverman in Talks to Play Prostitute in Seth MacFarlane Western (Exclusive)

The ribald comic would join a cast that already includes Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried and Giovanni Ribisi.

Sarah Silverman is in negotiations to join the high-wattage cast of Seth MacFarlane’s Western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Media Rights Capital is behind the movie, which boasts a cast that so far includes Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried and Giovanni Ribisi. MacFarlane, whose Ted grossed $545.8 million worldwide, co-wrote the script and is directing and starring.

A Million Ways to Die follows a cowardly sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend (Seyfried) leave him for another man. When a mysterious woman (Theron) rides into town, she helps him find his courage. But when her outlaw husband (Neeson) arrives seeking revenge, the farmer must put his newfound courage to the test.

Sources say Silverman would play the town’s well-worn prostitute, who engages in all sorts of lewd activities but refuses to have sex with her fiancé (Ribisi), believing that as Christians the couple should wait until marriage before lying down together.

Silverman might be coming off a voice-staring gig in Walt Disney Animation’s all-ages hit Wreck-It Ralph, but the Million Ways to Die role seems perfectly tailored for the comedienne's penchant for filth and cussing.

A spring production start is being eyed for the comedy, which is being produced by Scott Stuber, Jason Clark and MacFarlane

Silverman is best known for her TV and stand-up work (She's touring this spring). She last appeared on the big screen in 2011’s The Muppets and co-starred in Sarah Polley’s Take This Waltz. She also was at the South By Southwest Festival earlier this month to launch a YouTube comedy channel called JASH.
