Ozzy Osbourne apologized to his family in a heartfelt Facebook message on Tuesday, for relapsing with substance abuse. The British rocker, 60, also clarified that he is not getting a divorce from his wife of over 30 years, Sharon Osbourne.

"For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs," he wrote. "I was in a very dark place and was an a--hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober."

Osbourne, 64, posted the comments on his Facebook page as a response to news that he and Sharon are separated.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing," Osbourne added. "I'm just trying to be a better person."

In photos obtained by TMZ.com, Sharon Osbourne was seen relaxing while getting a foot massage at the Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico over the weekend, after the news of her separation made waves.

Previously, she was spotted with a moving team unloading chairs, tables and other pieces of furniture from two trucks, carrying them into a separate Beverly Hills property on April 2. A few days earlier, she was seen out to lunch without her wedding ring.

"I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period ... and my fans," Osbourne continued in his message.

The former Black Sabbath rocker made his name as lead singer of the heavy metal band, and has frequently spoken over the years about his substance abuse and rehabilitation stints.

Together the Osbournes have become one of Hollywood's most famous couples since starring in MTV reality show, "The Osbournes", alongside two of their children, Jack Osbourne and E! host Kelly Osbourne.
